Spotted in Scandinavia: Camouflaged Prototype
Peugeot at present is in the process of creating their subsequent generation 3008. Formerly we got an early sighting of a type donning a Citroen exterior, yet in late 2020, a production prototype was seen which connotes the French carmaker has progressed with the progress stage.
The latest sighting of the brand new Peugeot 3008 has been documented in a video from CarSpyMedia on YouTube. At the outset of the video, it is noticeable that the driver was evidently dodging the camera, almost losing their grip on the slippery Scandinavian roads. Throughout the footage, the show car was observed to be under the escort of a Peugeot official.
Once more, there was not substantially visible on the incredibly concealed model, barring some characteristics.
The prototype featured temporary alloy rims, but the side view is beginning to show distinct characteristics–other than its back region. It is suspected that the notable bulk at the hindmost segment was phony and therefore, if our presumption is accurate, we may be confronting a 3008 with a curvaceous rear.
Rememberance of the new Peugeot 408 surely springs to mind at the sight of the next-gen 3008. Conjectures state that the former is a miniature version of the sleek-looking fastback – though it is more precisely classified as a crossover vehicle. This, however, is purely supposition based on things which can be glimpsed now.
In advance, an extra cover was added to give the exterior a more prominent look. The headlights were situated on top, right under the hood, and a sizable black plastic covering in the bottom part of the front bumper is assumed to shroud a radar for the car’s semi-autonomous functions.
At this point, the unveiling of the 3008 is still in its initial stages, hence not many details are known yet concerning what goes beneath the outer shell. Nevertheless, it is forecasted that the upcoming 3008 will boast a selection of petrol, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric powertrain options.
Yet to be confirmed by Peugeot, the emerging timeline points to a late 2023 unveiling of their new 3008, coinciding with its market introduction in early 2024.
