Insane Truck Sheds Some Weight
The Hennessey Mammoth 1000, acquirable with copious amounts of money, is now able to be made even more unique with the introduction of a Carbon Edition package from the Texas modifier. This package provides an exotic twist to this truck, one just about comparable to those of top-notch supercars, as it replaces all out-of-doors plastic elements with carbon fiber.
The genuine carbon fiber pieces on the 2023 Ram 1500 TRX include the grille, hood scoop, fender and hood vents, headlight and taillight surrounds, and engine cover. However, interior accents are not part of the package, as they are already included with the TRX as part of a $1,295 package. Hennessey assures that the carbon fiber pieces are “lighter, stronger, more chemical resistant, and temperature tolerant than original equipment parts,” so those who are concerned about the brittleness or discoloration of carbon fiber need not worry.
Hennessey has reported that the new package package is available to be added on to any 2021-2023 Mammoth TRX design, including Mammoth 900 and Mammoth 1000 versions. It should be noted that the Mammoth 900 possesses a modified 6.2-liter Supercharged Hemi V8 which generates 912 horsepower, whereas the Mammoth 1000 provides 1,012 hp and 969 lb-ft of torque. For a price tag of $11,950, the carbon kit is offered along with a three-year/36,000-mile limited warranty.
That number does not cover the recently released Ram TRX, which has a basic pricing point of $84,555 prior to options and shipping. For those who require the unparalleled Mammoth upgrade package from Hennessey, the total price can be expected to be somewhere in the vicinity of a whopping $150,000 not including supplementary additions like the accessible Overland kit, which itself carries a price tag of $20,000.
The large TRX may carry an intimidating 6,440 lb stock weight, which leaves little room to improve the performances with a switch to carbon fiber. Although more of a show than anything else, the added presence carbon fiber tweaks bring to the vehicle’s exterior cannot be denied – it looks absolutely remarkable.
“The Mammoth TRX is a real showstopper,” affirms John Hennessey, founder and CEO of the company. “It’s massive in size, incredibly powerful, and that supercharger whine is unmistakable. To up the ante on its already aggressive exterior, we’ve added the Carbon Edition package. The carbon-fiber accents are classy, yet subtle, and really elevate the truck’s look, making it more visually upscale while still keeping its rugged appeal.”
