EV Debut: End of Year Release.
A fresh set of sixteen images featuring the GranCabrio Fologore model can now be seen in a new gallery, located underneath. Revisions have been made and one can view the prototype from different angles.
The highly-anticipated Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is almost ready to be unveiled. The vehicle has already been spotted publicly, sans its revealing camouflage, as evidenced by the recent set of photos of a model trial in wintry conditions.
It is unmistakable what car this is – dissimilar to the other makes, Maserati flaunts its iconic Trident emblazoned in the centre of the grille. Not too long ago a different GranCabrio was spotted with internal combustion power manifest in its logo. The vehicle here also has a familiar grille but take note of the corner outlets on the frontage which are walled up. A similar situation is true of the exhaust ends at the back as there is no opening for any tailpipe or end finishers – the GranCabrio’s posterior is unusually slick.
Following to the back, simply glimpse below the left brake light. And that’s a signal that what we’re seeing right here is a Folgore equipped with electricity capability; the charging spot is precisely at the same spot as that of the GranTurismo Folgore leading us to the conclusion that the styling of this vehicle will be similar to, if not exactly the same, as the hard top previously showcased.
Obviously, the most prominent difference between the GranCabrio and other cars its size is the folding roof; it is made of fabric instead of having a retractable hard top. This creates some distinctions between the two shapes in terms of their design, particularly at the back with modified rear panels and a unique trunk lid. We await the opportunity to inspect the inside of the GranCabrio to yet find out how it differs depending on the absence or presence of the convertible roof, but there are no grounds to assume that the interior will remain relatively the same at the front. In the recently unveiled GranTurismo Folgore, a slew of monitors is situated along the dashboard which spill down to the central console. The driver also holds a digital screen.
In terms of might, the GranTurismo Folgore hard top is equipped with three motors – one on the front and two at the back – for a merged production of 751 horse strength as well as 996 lb-ft of torque. Our colleagues at InsideEVs state that this architecture will yield 745 hp in the GranCabrio.
Anticipate a full launch to occur later in 2021, with the introduction of a 2024 edition.
