Late Model Racecraft: Deadly Venomous Truck
Late Model Racecraft (LMR), based in Texas, has achieved the amazing feat of getting an additional 1,000 horsepower from a Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport, on top of the 775 hp already produced by it from the manufacturing plant.
The modified Shelby pickup truck, rooted in the 2022 F-150 two-door single cab incarnate, comes equipped with a wide array of amenities from the automaker itself. This includes their iconic stripes, emblem, and suspension tuning, including adjustable rear shocks, aftermarket rear traction bars, rear sway arm, and a high-powered 5.0-liter V8 Coyote supercharger.
LMR has clearly upped the ante with improved fuel system capabilities due to superior high-flow injectors. In addition, they included a custom-made supercharger pulley, as well as three in-tank fuel pumps and top-notch headers. Not to mention, it is still four-wheel drive!
Thanks to the added components, LMR demonstrated that the road-centered, low-profile truck now has the capacity to record 10-second clocking. It also accomplished a 0-60 mph time of 3.12 seconds, taking it to the level of sports cars such as the Nissan GT-R Nismo. It may even be capable of beating the stuffing out of electric-power drag machines such as the Tesla Model S Plaid in the hands of a competent driver plus some drag tires.
LMR has declared their ability to convert a 5.0-liter F-150 that doesn’t originate from Shelby into a vehicle with comparable performance characteristics. The 2022 F-150 Super Snake Sport, that was once on offer from Shelby, is no longer available as an updated version based on the 2023 F-150 is now up for sale for a price of $93,385 inclusive of the supercharger. Though it operates on a Coyote V8, LMR might still be able to implement certain modifications to the recent truck.
The company did not evidence costs for the F-150 Super Snake creation, however, we anticipate it wouldn’t be economical.
As an interesting aside, the new Ford F-150 Carroll Shelby Centennial Edition has been manufactured – based on the Lariat 4×4 5.0-liter SuperCrew. This variation of the vehicle is unlike any other: boasting an impressive 800 horsepower directly from the source at Shelby, it is available in strictly limited quantities; only 100 will be made, each with a cost of $138,495.
This was a really insightful post, thank you for sharing!
