Jerry Seinfeld Snares $1.2M Porsche 911 Club Coupe

Comedian Gets Fourth Porsche for Garage

Not just a talented stand-up comic, actor, scribe and producer, Jerry Seinfeld is also a veritable car enthusiast who possess an awe-inspiring compilation of Porsches condensed in a spectacular three-storeyed garage. Being serious about his motors has enabled the jester to accumulate a one of a kind Porsche 911 traditional Club Coupe which was sold for a whopping $1.2 million.

Seinfeld attained the vehicle at the Porsche Parade in Palm Springs, California, which was attended by PCA members.

As indicated by the PCA, a 125-mile excursion from La Quinta Resort to Los Angeles was an ideal first drive journey. He traversed it in the exclusive Porsche.

At the Broad Arrow auction house, 75 rare Porsche vehicles were up for grabs in celebration of the brand’s 75th-anniversary. Among the cars on offer were a 904 Carrera GTS from 1964, a 962 from 1984, and a 1980 911 SC “Safari” Rally. But the star of the show was Jerry Seinfeld’s 911 Classic Club Coupe, which sold for an undisclosed sum.

It took more than two and a half years to refurbish the timeworn Porsche 911 Carrera (Model 996) from 1998 into an iconic Classic Club Coupe. The inspiration for this car comes from the scarce model 997 Porsche 911 Sport Classic (997), of which only 250 units were manufactured and none for the US market.

Seinfeld’s 911 Classic Club Coupe boasts an exterior finished with a Sport Gray Metallic coating which rests atop Fuchs-style alloy rims. This car is especially stylish with its white and blue stripes that adorn the hood, fenders, and rear. Additionally, it features the signature double dome roof design, paying tribute to the Carrera GT supercar from the early 2000s, while the stationary rear spoiler rounds off this homage to the famed 911 Carrera RS 2.7.

Within lies the 996-sourced Pepita houndstooth fabric coupled with a cutting-edge infotainment system that is both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. Powering this ride is a 3.6-liter engine from the second generation 996 GT3 which is able to generate up to 381 horsepower.
