He Has Two High-Powered Cars
With its sizeable presence in the American car tuning market, there’s a great probability that John Hennessey – founder of Hennessey Performance – had crafted quite the impressive vehicle collection. Take a look at this video where he displays several of his models.
First, for his 60th birthday, Hennessey’s family gifted him an incredible 1969 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible. An upgrade in luxury over Chevrolet and Pontiac muscle cars of the era, this model featured a variety of V8 engine options according to its trim level. Although he doesn’t give details, we can be sure that it wasn’t his first car, but unquestionably a really special one.
Hennessey is the proud owner of a 1991 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Despite being in its original factory state, Hennessey infamously drove an equivalent model up Pikes Peak Hill Racing and accomplished a record-breaking 177mph at the Bonneville Salt Flats — instigating him to design a budget version of the Porsche 959.
A 1,000-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 2005 Dodge Viper is held as part of the array. Formerly crafted by Hennessey for the developer of Remax real estate corporation, that individual decided to purchase a Venom F5 Roadster and proposed this car as trade in the transaction. Hennessey was happy to accept the agreement.
Moreover, the Hennessey posse includes a 2014 Cadillac CTS-V estate. This is comparable to an auto that once occupied his lineup. He even delivered his offspring to school with it! Ahead of the silencers were dump valves, enabling the powerhouse to generate a seriously robust roar each time the kids requested to experience the bluntness from the supercharged 8-cylinder.
The final item in the selection is the incredibly rare Venom F5 from Hennessey. Concealed beneath the pearl white coating, John has thought about submitting this automobile to Bring a Trailer as he already has another vehicle of this series being fashioned for his own private stockpile. As such, there seems to be little practicality in keeping two if you are the proprietor of the fabrication business.
