Purchase a Tesla Cybertruck in Black or White.

Factory-Installed Cybertruck Paint Film: $6500 from Tesla.

Tesla has ultimately initiated manufacturing of its groundbreaking Cybertruck pickup, giving the first handful to staff during a celebratory event led by Elon Musk on Thursday. Furthermore, the carmaker also changed its website with costs, specs, and features, including a $6,500 manufacturer-installed paint protection film for the stainless steel shell, available in white or black.

According to Tesla’s website, the resilient, urethane-based film safeguards against scuffs and is more ecologically conscious when compared to classic vinyl wraps. Choosing this choice will result in each stainless steel part becoming visible in either satin white or satin black.

If you’d prefer to maintain the stainless steel aesthetic but still want that additional layer of protection, Cybertruck customers have the choice to opt for a “premium satin clear paint film” for a cost of $5,000.

The news of the wrap’s availability is unexpected, given that Musk had previously stated that “Cybertruck can have any color you want, so long as it’s nothing,” and that wraps would not be available “at first.” However, it appears that the option to add a wrap is now being made available.

Tesla presently provides factory paint protection film wrap installations for both the Model Y and Model 3, with prices starting at $7,500.

It’s not the initial sighting of a Cybertruck that slated to be a different colour than its usual stainless steel covering. A black-hued version was recently seen in an auto event at Malibu, closely scrutinized by reporters of InsideEVs. We earnestly pray for this particular instance of wrap for the production version to have a much more attractive appeal.
