810-HP Mustang Supercharger Kit by Ford: Your for $10,000

Excluding California residents.

At the 2020 SEMA event in November, Ford hinted at a fresh supercharger package for the 2024 edition of the Mustang. This upgrade was designed to push the performance of the iconic car to unprecedented levels, boasting an impressive over 800 horsepower output. However, during the announcement, important information such as the cost and torque were not disclosed by the Blue Oval company. Fortunately, all the specifics have now been revealed.

Ford Performance has recently added the twin-screw supercharger kit to their website, promising to boost their 5.0-liter V-8 engine to a staggering 810 horsepower for a mere $9,995. This impressive upgrade is available for both the Mustang GT and Dark Horse models, although residents of California will unfortunately not be able to enjoy it.

Ford solely authorizes the use of the supercharger in all other states except California. The product description specifies that it lacks “authorization for deployment in California,” and it is “prohibited by law to be registered or utilized on automobiles” within the state. We assume this is due to California’s stringent regulations concerning emissions.

In collaboration with Whipple, a new supercharger has been engineered to enhance the torque of the engine to a whopping 615 pound-feet. However, for Mustangs lacking an active exhaust system, the resulting horsepower is slightly lower by 10 hp, but still significantly higher than the original model. The 2024 GT model already boasts an impressive output of 486 hp and 418 lb-ft of torque from its factory settings, while the Dark Horse variant goes up a notch with 500 hp and 418 lb-ft of twist.

The package consists of the latest Gen 6 3.0-liter supercharger, a 92-millimeter throttle body, a double-pass intercooler, GT500 fuel injectors with increased portability, improved spark plugs, and an exclusive Ford Performance calibration. It demands 91+ octane gasoline and offers a generous warranty of three years or 36,000 miles. Overall, it’s a great value for money.
