Almost Perfect Custom Bugatti Veyron Reproduction

Affordable alternative to Bug cars with moderate price tag.

Replicas of cars have the potential to be excellent, such as the Toyota 2000GT recreations crafted by Rocky Auto. However, they can also serve as cautionary tales, like a Pontiac Fiero trying to pass off as a Ferrari F50. This Bugatti Veyron imitation falls somewhere in between the two extremes.

In a deviation from the norm, this product was crafted from the ground up. Crafting the appearance of the French high-performance vehicle required a complete 3D scan, the development of a unique frame, and extensive utilization of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. Unfortunately, duplicating the distinctive W16 motor was not possible; therefore, we have opted for a twin-turbo V8 engine sourced from an Audi RS6, albeit with a cover that closely resembles the original. A slight drawback is the immovability of the rear wing, but it is a foreseeable compromise.

What Makes this ‘Bugatti’ so Cheap?!

Despite its almost flawless appearance, certain aspects of the rear end give off a sense of inauthenticity. This can be seen in both the diffuser and the exhaust tips, which lack the same level of attention to detail as the rest of the car. Additionally, the replica of the iconic grille seems disproportionate in size, but there is at least one genuine Veyron component- the cracked windshield.

While the inside of the vehicle appears quite authentic, many of its features, such as the gear selector, instrument panel, and middle console, are directly borrowed from an Audi. Furthermore, a large portion of the interior panels on the replica are constructed of rough plastics, which is disappointing. Nevertheless, the team responsible for the creation of this replica has paid meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that it mirrors the real vehicle in every way.

Undoubtedly, the manner in which it operates is somewhat uncertain, although this could be credited to the inclement conditions. Moreover, there is a complete lack of noise insulation, leading to an exceptionally unrefined encounter within the interior space.

While stepping on the gas, the counterfeit version appears to be fast and enjoyable, yet it lacks stability. Of course, it doesn’t have the same level of speed as the authentic model, however the host estimates that it could still keep pace with an E46 BMW M3. Though there are no specific power numbers available for the imitation Veyron, the 4.2-liter V8 engine would have produced 444 horsepower in the C6 Audi RS6.

To provide context, the genuine Veyron Roadster is equipped with an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine that produces 987 horsepower. Meanwhile, the elusive Grand Sport Vitesse model boasts a staggering 1,184 horsepower.

While far from flawless, this imitation appears to be of satisfactory quality. However, the major inconvenience lies in the fact that the unidentified creator of this object claims it carries a significantly steep cost of £150,000, approximately $190,000 based on current exchange rates.

This option provides a lower cost alternative to the genuine Bugatti Veyron. However, for equal value, numerous individuals might opt for a pre-owned Audi R8 or a new RS6 and still have money left over.
