Basecamp Line Gives VW Atlas Cross Sport Makeover

Atlas Cross Sport Accessories Now Available

Volkswagen is broadening its Basecamp collection of items, which now bundles custom bodywork pieces along with distinctive wheels specifically designed for the Atlas Cross Sport.

Drawing creative impetus from the cutting-edge Atlas Basecamp concept motor, these fresh extras are placed to raise the malleability and durability of the whole Atlas range.

The Basecamp range of add-ons is offered both as single units or in the form of a complete kit, meant to provide the Atlas Cross Sport with a formidable off-roading look. This package consists of special wheels designed for enhanced versatility when combined with all-surface rubber.

“In response to the heightened interest in SUVs with a rugged aesthetic, we are committed to providing our customers and dealers with accessory options to customize their Volkswagen SUVs. Introducing the Atlas Cross Sport to the Basecamp line, alongside the Atlas and Taos Basecamp styling program, was an obvious choice,” said Petar Danilovic, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing and Strategy at Volkswagen of America.

Air Design has engineered the Basecamp styling package with an impressive combination of two-tone nightfall black and brilliant satin silver hues. The kit features a textured matte black front valance, flared guards with integrated splash protection, and rocker panels boasting the same satin silver finish as the rear valance with an integrated trailer hitch access.

It is noteworthy that the styling package cannot be used with models not equipped with a trailer hitch and is not suitable for R-Line or Peak Edition models. The full Atlas kit contains specific Basecamp badges mounted on the front quarter panels, which are not sold independently and should not be utilised with Atlas Cross Sport variants.

The entire Basecamp outfit for the Atlas is listed at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $2,650. Individuals who opt to assemble their own set have individual accessories featuring the following MSRPs: the front valance ($680), back valance ($680), side door plates ($769) and fender flares ($645).

The full array of styling features for the Atlas Cross Sport can be obtained at an MSRP of $2,774. The attached individual component costs are as follows: a front valance with an MSRP of $680, a rear valance at the same amount, side door skids plates at $769, and fender flaring for $645.

Both accessory ranges showcase the 17-inch Traverse MX wheels, especially created by fifteen52 for Volkswagen. These rims can be purchased in two different colours; frosted graphite and shiny silver, each priced at $315. Volkswagen of America suggest coupling it with 245/70R17 all-terrain tires for a perfect design and better performance.
