Buick is currently undergoing a resurgence, unveiling a brand new slogan that perfectly aligns with its new direction and values. “Exceptional by Design” has been derived from the brand’s latest design approach, which places great emphasis on meticulous attention to detail, a dedication to sculptural form, and the overall aesthetic philosophy of the Buick brand and its products.

Buick has recently introduced a fresh slogan and a new video, highlighting its rich history of design. Although Buick may not have been known for its refined aesthetics in recent years (who can forget the Buick Rendezvous?), the company has a collection of remarkable creations in its archives. Notable among them are the breathtaking 1949 Roadmaster and the impressive GNX, which proved that Buick was capable of producing sporty cars.

Although the Buick Envision may not be considered a dream car, the Wildcat design study by Buick demonstrates their desire to create striking and impressive vehicles once again. Buick’s Wildcat design study signals a shift towards bold and eye-catching vehicles, in contrast to the unremarkable Envision.

It would be a welcome addition for the brand to have a sports car or a dynamic grand tourer in its lineup.

At present, a wide range of crossovers is drawing an increased number of consumers to the brand. As stated by the car company owned by GM, it was the most rapidly expanding non-luxury brand in 2023, with roughly 70% of total sales being generated by new buyers. Models such as the Encore GX have offered a chic and reasonably priced option for younger purchasers seeking a crossover.

Buick is preparing to launch a new electric car called the Electra later this year, but there are concerns among dealers regarding this decision. Electrifying the brand is a crucial move for securing its future, but considering the decreasing sales of electric vehicles, hybrids and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) may be a wiser choice. We can only anticipate that future Buicks will be exceptional in each aspect, not solely in terms of design.
