Epic Revival: Abandoned Mustang Roars to Life After 18 Years of Silence!

Neglected Mustang Finally Receives Long-Awaited Restoration.

The initial edition of the Ford Mustang was bought brand new by a United Airlines employee and later obtained by the present owner approximately in 2002. Nevertheless, after a few years, the vehicle was carefully stored away in a corner of a garage and subsequently forgotten… until the present time.

The team at WD Detailing recently connected with the proprietor to prepare the vehicle for its journey on the road. After being disregarded for nearly twenty years, it is in dire need of some TLC. Along with a substantial accumulation of dust on the exterior surfaces, the chrome accents have lost their shine and there are signs of rust beginning to appear. The interior also shows signs of wear and tear.

The Mustang’s appearance is greatly improved after the WD team gives it a thorough wash. After shining up the chrome wheels and bumpers, there are few visual clues that reveal this car’s uneventful existence over the past 18 years. We’re pleased that the rust marks were left untouched, as they add a charming patina to the vehicle.

Upon initial observation, the inside appears to be in decent condition, however, it doesn’t take much time for the WD Detailing crew to uncover signs of infestation. In total, they come across four deceased mice and a few nests. This is quite disgusting.

After experiencing a cosmetic makeover, the WD team enlists the assistance of a pair of father-son mechanics to kickstart this Mustang. Despite encountering several fuel-related complications, they are ultimately successful in getting the classic muscle car to idle, a feat it hasn’t achieved in nearly two decades.

Rather than storing it away in his garage, the owner makes the decision to bestow the Mustang upon his daughter as a gift for her college graduation. It is hoped that this act will result in the car receiving the necessary mechanical care it deserves, allowing it to return to the streets for many more years.
