Introducing the American-Tech, Italian-Built MILITEM MAGNUM 700 Pickup: Unleash High-Performance!

MILITEM’s MAGNUM 700: An Ultra-luxurious Off-roader Born from a Hellcat-powered RAM TRX

MILITEM, an esteemed Italian coachbuilder, has recently revealed their newest addition to the world of ultra-luxury performance pickups – the MAGNUM 700. Taking inspiration from the RAM 1500 model, this truck boasts formidable off-road capabilities, advanced technological features, expert craftsmanship, and a healthy dose of good old-fashioned horsepower, courtesy of its Stellantis Hellcat 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI engine.

If you are not acquainted with MILITEM automobiles, they are costly and exclusively available in Europe. Nevertheless, Americans may find MILITEMs recognizable as they are modeled after Jeeps and RAM pickup trucks. One may even recall the MILITEM Ferox Adventure, a fusion of the Jeep Wrangler and opulent Italian styling.

According to Hagerty, MILITEMs share a similar philosophy with Rayton-Fissore’s Magnum, also known as the Laforza in the United States. This Italian brand was known for outfitting luxurious SUVs with powerful American V8 engines and upscale leather interiors. Although not quite as extreme, the MAGNUM 700 is often compared to the iconic Lamborghini LM002 for its bold and daring design.

In contrast to the Laforza, which solely utilized American engines (primarily) and constructed the remainder, MILITEM takes a different approach by enhancing existing Jeeps and RAMs with an impressive level of manual refinement. The MAGNUM 700 model incorporates MILITEM’s signature “MAGNUM BAR,” a specially crafted roll bar equipped with a retractable lightbar outfitted with automatic LED lights. The bold aesthetics are further enhanced with the addition of a new two-tone hexagonal grille and broader hood and fenders, which can be customized with carbon fiber inserts.

The new MAGNUM 700. Unleashing Power, Redefining Luxury.

Carefully observe the engine cover and you will notice a T. Rex devouring a Raptor. This is the identical engine cover found on the RAM TRX, which was adorned with this dinosaur-themed Easter Egg because, let’s face it, TRXs were created to outperform Ford F-150 Raptors. Moreover, the horsepower (702) and weight (6,443 pounds) stated in the specification sheet, along with the red “TRX” button located to the right of the steering wheel, confirm that the base truck is indeed a RAM TRX. However, MILITEM has completely revamped it.

Although the Hellcat engine from Dodge may have met its end, its powerful roar lives on in the MAGNUM 700. A visit to the MILITEM website for the MAGNUM 700 will reveal a photo of the Hellcat with a bright red start button and bold, all-caps text that reads, “FIRE UP THE ENGINE.” Don’t forget to turn up your speakers for the full experience.

MILITEM equipped the MAGNUM 700 with 22-inch Black Edition forged wheels and robust all-terrain tires. They also incorporated a specialized suspension system featuring Bilstein Black Hawk E2 shock dampers, and reinforced the RAM’s ladder frame to withstand intense performance demands. The vehicle boasts an impressive ground clearance of 11.8 inches (30 cm) and a fording depth of up to 31.5 inches (80 cm). With its versatile set of drive modes including Sport, Snow, Bahia (potentially equivalent to the TRX’s Baja mode), Mud/Sand, Rock, and Tow, as well as the option for personalized settings, drivers have ultimate control over their driving experience.

Although the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 is known for its impressive power as a modified TRX, the MILITEM MAGNUM 700 places emphasis on offering a touch of luxury. The previous plastic elements have been replaced with lavish materials such as leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber. You’ll find vibrant red stitching, MILITEM logos, and bold red 700s adorning the backrests, although these elements are subject to customization, just like everything else in the vehicle. The interior exudes opulence, with eye-catching colors and polished materials throughout. Each seat boasts a wrap-around design and the added bonus of heating and cooling capabilities.

Priced around $200,000, the MILITEM MAGNUM 700 is almost double the cost of the 2023 RAM TRX’s MSRP ($98,335). However, for this amount, buyers can enjoy the perks of exclusivity, a commanding appearance, and personalized options. MILITEM also presents additional add-ons like a wide panoramic sunroof, detachable footboards on the side, personalized LED lights, and the convenience of a remote-controlled bed cover.

The MAGNUM 700 boasts a complete three-year/62,000-mile (100,000-km) guarantee for European customers, in accordance with the strict safety standards set by German TUV. MILITEM, which operates eight dealerships throughout Italy, Germany, and Monaco, will soon be expanding its reach to Poland. Regrettably, the U.S. market will not have access to the impressive MAGNUM 700; however, we can still appreciate its features from a distance.
