This renders the supposed enhancements of the Dark Horse obsolete, making the added cost of an extra 10,000 British pounds sterling seem exorbitant, equivalent to roughly $12,800.

Unfortunately for environmentalists in the UK, this option is not even available across the pond – so there’s no need to worry about them sniffing lead paint (just a joke!).

British customers purchasing the Mustang Dark Horse model are at a disadvantage compared to their American counterparts. The UK version has significantly less power, with 56 fewer horses under the hood. This raises questions as to why it is even offered in the UK. In an effort to boost its performance, Ford equipped the Dark Horse’s Coyote V8 engine with connecting rods and a forged crankshaft from the Shelby GT500. It also includes extra cooling for the engine, transmission, and differential oil, although these features may never actually come into play. Despite being marketed as a rival to the M4, the Dark Horse’s speed is on par with a standard GT.

We would never want to imagine the treatment that would be given to the ultimate Mustang, the brand new GTD.

One of the most peculiar aspects of this situation is that the United Kingdom has yet to adopt the simplest resolution. As many are aware, Ford conceptualized the S550 as a worldwide model and this concept was carried over to the new S650. This allows for Mustangs to be marketed in numerous countries such as Australia, South Africa, and the UK. There is a significant interest for the Mustang in all of these nations.
