Street-Ready: Ford Ranger MS-RT – A Track-Inspired Widebody Truck

Breaking the Mold: A Refreshing Take on Off-Road Ranger Builds

MS-RT has unveiled their most recent interpretation of the Ford Ranger, following the triumph of their previous rendition of the midsize truck in 2021. This new iteration of the Ranger MS-RT is built upon the latest model of the truck, which was launched in the United States last year. It boasts a commanding widebody design, as well as other exhilarating features inspired by sports vehicles. The newest addition to the MS-RT lineup stays true to the brand’s mission of combining stylish aesthetics with exceptional performance. The company has seamlessly integrated a wider body onto the latest Ford Ranger, giving it a muscular and aggressive appearance. Alongside this eye-catching design, the truck also boasts a unique grille, front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser – all contributing to its sporty persona. But it’s not only about looks – the new Ranger MS-RT comes equipped with various performance enhancements to match its fierce appearance. A bespoke exhaust system enhances engine acoustics, while an upgraded suspension setup improves handling and gives the truck a more dynamic driving experience. Additionally, larger alloy wheels with high-performance tires provide better grip and traction on the road.Inside the cabin, the Ranger MS-RT offers a premium feel with luxurious accents such as heated leather seats and a leather

The UK-based engineering company has given the Ranger a widebody treatment, making it 3.2 inches wider than the standard Ranger. The fenders have been replaced with non-plastic ones to create a more street-oriented appearance. The grille has also received an update with a “gradient” honeycomb design. The front and rear bumpers have been restyled, along with the addition of sculpted side skirts to enhance the truck’s wide stance. To further enhance the motorsport-inspired design, a cab spoiler, diffuser, and ducktail spoiler have been added to the back of the Ranger.

Completing the athletic aesthetic, the Ranger MS-RT boasts dark-coated mirror coverings and door handles, retractable powered side steps, and 21-inch Anthracite diamond-polished rims encased in low-profile Continental tires. Potential buyers will have a wide selection of hues, such as Conquer Grey, Frozen White, Metallic Moondust Silver, Metallic Carbonised Grey, and Metallic Agate Black. Additionally, an MS-RT Blue shade will hit the market in April.

The Ranger MS-RT boasts a meticulously crafted interior made of eco-leather and suede, adorned with sports seat bolsters accented by striking blue stitching. Adding to its athletic charm is a sporty steering wheel featuring a blue marker at the 12 o’clock spot, reminiscent of the steering wheel found in the Ranger Raptor. Alongside these impressive features are a heated steering wheel, dual-zone electronic climate control, a spacious 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Sync 4A, as well as Ford Co-Pilot 360 Assist.

Contrary to the American version of the Ranger Raptor that boasts a powerful 405-horsepower gas V6 engine, the Ranger MS-RT is equipped with a 3.0-liter EcoBlue V6 turbo diesel motor that delivers 237 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. While it has been designed for use on city roads, this truck still maintains its ability to handle heavy loads with a maximum towing capacity of 7,716 pounds and a payload capacity of 2,205 pounds.

In addition to the mentioned specifications, MS-RT also provides built-in choices such as decals inspired by rally cars and a complete upgrade for eco-friendly leather seats. A suspension that lowers 40mm will also be on offer, although it won’t be accessible until September later this year.

MS-RT has not revealed the cost of the newest Ranger MS-RT, however it will be on offer at Ford Pro dealerships in Europe alongside a fresh Transit MS-RT. This updated version of the van comes with similar athletic features, but unfortunately it is not offered in the United States.
