Subaru Teaser Previews Rugged Back End

Subaru Unveils Wilderness Model in 1 Week

In a question of days, Subaru shall reveal their newest addition to the Wilderness line-up; which is by now encompassed by the Forester and Outback models. As an accessible feature, buyers of an American Subaru car can get this off-road bundle; however, the company has yet to divulge which vehicle they will be giving the strong redesign too.

Following last week’s teaser, Subaru has now unveiled the rear end of its new Wilderness model. The teaser image showcases the current design of the Outback Wilderness’ rear bumper, which features a debossed “Subaru” word mark on either side of two orange markers on the black cladding.

Subaru have yet to reveal which of their autos will acquire the ‘Wildnerness’ badge, although we had posited that it might well be the Crosstek or Ascent. The current teaser however makes it alarmingly easy to visualize the Crosstek featuring an unbelievably robust hind fender. It looks to be a flawless fit.

Suggestion: All in all, there are tons of reasons why the Crosstek is a likely selection for the next Wilderness model. Selling more than any other Subaru vehicle in 2022, it is rational to produce an even sportier version with improved grip and greater clearance from the ground. To top it off, the Crosstek was recently updated for the 2024 model year.

Be aware that, in 2024, the Subaru Crosstek will reach dealers towards the end of the year with two motor alternatives: the beginning 152-horsepower 2.0-L engine and the 182-hp 2.5-L top-of-the-line variation. The latter is put together in Lafayette, Indiana and can be found in the Sport and Limited trims. Ought to the Crosstek feature the Wilderness package, it could likely be installed with the more potent engine.

These are but hypotheses on our portion, and we have only a few days to find out if our forecasts prove reliable. The up-and-coming Subaru Wildnerness design is due to be fully exposed during the New York Auto Show on April 5th, 2023.
