Karma Automotive introduces new luxury sedan to its growing collection.
Karma Automotive has recently revealed its newest addition to its range – the Gyesera sedan, an all-electric model with four doors. The California-based car manufacturer is introducing this vehicle on the occasion of their tenth anniversary celebration. This release comes after the successful launch of the 1,000-hp Kaveya super coupe GT, which made its debut in Las Vegas in the previous year.
In contrast to the well-established GS-6, which is considered one of the longest-running vehicles still being sold in 2024, the Gyesera is a fully electric car. Though it utilizes the same platform as the GSe-6, the manufacturer has significantly modified the vehicle to create a brand-new model with unique performance, exterior design, and interior features.
“According to Karma Automotive president Marques McCammon, the Gyesera serves as our bridge to the future, with its modern appearance, sensation, and exceptional capabilities. It represents the embodiment of Karma’s renewed corporate direction.”
Karma Automotive recently released preliminary details for the Gyesera, but only in terms of pre-production specifications. The vehicle boasts a 120 kWh battery, which is expected to deliver a range of more than 250 miles on one charge. The powertrain configuration is anticipated to generate a total combined power of 590 horsepower and 693 lb-ft of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 135 mph.
Constructed using an aluminum spaceframe structure, complemented by a combination of carbon fiber and aluminum exterior panels, and enhanced by an aluminum SLA suspension system, this vehicle is expected to weigh approximately 5,300 pounds. In terms of dimensions, the sedan boasts a length of 199.9 inches, a width of 78.9 inches, and a height of 52.4 inches. Its wheelbase measures 124.4 inches in length.
The Gyesera boasts larger dimensions in terms of its body and wheelbase compared to the Tesla Model S, yet it maintains a lower and narrower profile.
Karma Automotive has kept the cost of the Gyesera under wraps. However, they confidently assert that this sedan will be an exceptionally rare and luxurious model, surpassing even the exclusivity of the Cadillac Celestiq.
During the launch of our electric vehicle at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, McCammon stated to Topspeed, “In comparison to vehicles like the Cadillac Celestiq or even the Porsche Taycan, our vehicles will be more exclusive.”
In the meantime, McCammon informed Automotive News that Karma Automotive intends to manufacture approximately 2,000 Gyesera EVs during a span of four to five years.
Karma has recently announced the availability of reservation slots for their highly anticipated Gyesera, requiring a pre-order fee of $5,000. The delivery of customer units is set to take place later this year, in time for the 2025 model year.
