2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid Priced Higher

At the start of this year, Kia launched the 2024 model year for its Sportage vehicle. Now, the organization has provided more details concerning the hybrid version of the crossover. Shortly, the 2024 Sportage Hybrid shall be available at Kia dealers with a slightly revised design and a higher starting cost.

These novelties are restricted to the second-row, seat-featured airbags and projector LED headlights as regular kit. There appear to be no other differences compared to the 2023 model, but the cost has increased from a prior year’s $28,815 to $29,615 with delivery costs and handling fees included. That is for the foundational LX trim, which boasts privacy glass, 17-inch alloy rims, and a 12.2-inch digital instrument display as standard.

Opt for the EX AWD and you’re looking at setting aside at least $33,315, with the reward of enhanced safeguard features and a six-speaker audio system. The highest grade SX Prestige AWD begins at $38,515, bringing with it 18-inch wheels, LED fog lamps, along with a power liftgate.

For the 2024 model year, all Sportage Hybrid variants are hugged by a 1.6-liter turbo engine. This is partnered with dual electric motors and an inconspicuous 1.49-kWh battery unit. Together this setup sends out 227 hp (169 kW) along with 258 lb-ft of torque. As estimated by the EPA, aggregate fuel economy ranges from 38 to 43 miles per gallon.

In August of this year, Kia was the introducer of the 2024 Sportage non-hybrid. Its 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine delivered an impressive 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque while providing some miniature upgrades on the gear. The crossover is presently the top-selling model of Kia, having a total of 125,245 sales in the last year.
