2025 Unveiling of Electric AMG GT 4-Door Concept: The Mercedes-AMG Vision Revamped

Futuristic Electric Beast: The GT63 4-Door’s Evolution

Fresh images of a Mercedes-AMG model in development have surfaced, giving us a glimpse at the anticipated electric successor to the AMG GT63 4-Door. Despite the heavy camouflage covering the entire car and false panels disguising specific areas like the hood, bumpers, and doors, it is evident that this is an early prototype. However, we can still make out the basic shape of the vehicle, leading to speculations that this could indeed be the new AMG GT 4-Door that our sources have been buzzing about. In fact, these subtle hints are further validating the reports that suggest the new model will bring the iconic AMG Vision concept to life. Initially unveiled in 2022, the concept’s design language will apparently serve as the inspiration for this upcoming release, following in the footsteps of the Mercedes EQXX concept which was revealed merely a few months back and boasts a similar striking aesthetic.

The upcoming flagship electric vehicle is predicted to appear on the market with a similar sleek design as the concept, and it may also feature the groundbreaking Alubeam silver windows that were showcased in the design study, effectively blending metal and glass. The headlights shown in these photos are presumably temporary, as it’s likely that the daytime running lights will be divided into three sections on each side, mimicking the iconic brand emblem. These segments will be linked by an LED strip positioned above the faux grille, maintaining the recognizable Panamericana shape. Placed above this, a sizable three-pointed star – reminiscent of the one seen on the AMG One – is anticipated. At the rear, an active spoiler can be spotted, and the taillights will stretch across the entire width of the vehicle.

Estimates for horsepower numbers are still uncertain, however we can look at current options for comparison. The flagship S E Performance model of the combustion vehicle offers a potential 831 horsepower and 1,084 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the AMG EQS sedan boasts a peak of 751 hp and 752 lb-ft (when launch control is activated).

It is well-known that axial flux motors will soon make their debut, boasting an impressive 1,920 horsepower and 2,360 pound-feet of torque in the Vision One-Eleven concept. These innovative motors are set to be implemented in production vehicles and AMG’s team of electric vehicle specialists have ample room for creativity, pushing the boundaries of performance like never before.

The debut of the electric AMG GT 4-Door is anticipated for next year, but it is expected to lack the usual EQ design and will not be branded with an EQ prefix.
