The upcoming Ultium-based ZDX is set to launch for customers, as the booking window opens in February. In a move towards sustainability, pre-orders for the electric crossover began in December, and those who make reservations will receive an exclusive Acura Energy Key Card with various advantages. This marks the first instance of Acura adopting a new omnichannel retail approach, where customers can place their orders through online channels.
To reiterate, there will be two options available for purchase: a Type S version with an impressive 500 horsepower and a projected price of $70,000 or more. But what other developments can we expect? The main highlight is the introduction of a fresh compact crossover, strategically positioned as the entry point to the brand’s range.
According to Acura, their upcoming crossover will be on par with the Integra, making it more budget-friendly compared to other Acura offerings. While the manufacturer has not revealed many details, it is likely that the vehicle will utilize the same turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine found in the Integra.
The Integra is outfitted with a CVT and generates 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. However, this may come as a disappointment to some, but for crossover shoppers, it’s probably not a major concern. It will be intriguing to discover whether the new addition is simply a rebranded version of Honda or an original, independent model. It wouldn’t be shocking if Acura makes enhancements to the HR-V by adding more sophistication, opulence, and vigor.
Regarding cost, it is anticipated that the incoming vehicle (potentially referred to as ADX) will commence at approximately $35,000, placing it squarely between the $31,800 Integra and the $44,350 RDX.

Acura has made it clear that they will not overlook their other models.
