Previewing the Q6 E-Tron Ahead of Its Launch

Audi recently unveiled the forthcoming elextric-powered Q6 E-Tron. Despite the fact that the model remains camouflaged, it was possible to get a glimpse at the prototype last month. As the production of the SUV is taking place in Northern Europe, there have been a few recent hints about the vehicle shared by the carmaker.

Digging deep into the newly-released teaser of the latest car model, Kolesa’s experts have tried their best to predict what its design will look like by digitally stripping away the camo. Behold, the unofficial front and rear renderings are showcased below.

Considering the renderings as well as teaser images, it appears that the newest revisions feature headlights split in two, along with a trapezium-shaped gap on the lower grille. Even though the covering over the car masks much of the detail of its styling, one can make out how the nose is fashioned to be sleek in appearance. Further, the Q6 E-Tron has various ridges running across its shoulder alignment and a bulge at the base of the doors. The lights at the rear also stand out due to their distinctive geometry at the internal part of the lights.

Audi shall also provide a Sportback edition of the Q6 E-Tron, including a back end having a silhouette resembling a coupe’s for those who favor a more elegant stylistics. The insider of the Q6 E-Tron is not visible in the teaser, though spy images have disclosed that there are massive screens with instruments and entertainment content displays present. Seemingly, the cabin design reduces the use of hard buttons to a minimum.

Riding on Premium Platform Electric architecture, the Q6 E-Tron is coming onto the market. Technology involved encompasses an 800-volt electrical system. Details of the powertrain haven’t yet been detailed, with many expecting multiple outputs to be available. Moreover, a RS variation with an estimated 600 horses under the hood is expected to be made available – the Macan EV is also rumored to feature this.

Audi has yet to impart when the Q6 E-Tron will make its initial unveiling. Despite this, all indications suggest that it shall be revealed before 2021 is done. It remains unknown if the traditional model and the Sportback will both be issued concurrently or staggered in timing.
