Brabus Unleashes 986 HP in Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Rocket

Introducing Brabus’ Most Potent Creation: Only 25 Produced!

Brabus has elevated its Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, known as the Rocket, with the unveiling of the Brabus Rocket 1000. This impressive creation marks a new milestone in the German tuner’s forty-year legacy, boasting unmatched power and performance.

As its name implies, the hybrid four-door coupe boasts an impressive 1,000 metric horsepower (986 horsepower) – 69 more horses than Brabus’ 930 released in the previous year. This puts the vehicle on par with other high-performance hybrid supercars such as the Ferrari SF90. Additionally, the torque has been heightened to 1,342 lb-ft, although it is electronically restricted to 1,195 lb-ft to avoid potential wear on the drivetrain.

It is achievable by utilizing a 204-hp electric motor installed to the back axle, coupled with an automatic two-speed gearbox and a 6.1 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Brabus has made a significant upgrade to its 4.5-liter V8 engine, boosting its power output to an impressive 796 horsepower and 922 pound-feet of torque. This increase in displacement was achieved by utilizing Mercedes-AMG’s renowned 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, the same engine used in high-performance vehicles such as the latest Aston Martin DB12.Along with the upgraded engine, other crucial components have been incorporated into the drivetrain. These include a proficient 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive (AWD) system and an agile MCT nine-speed sports transmission, which can be manipulated using Brabus’ state-of-the-art race carbon paddle shifters.

According to the tuner, the Brabus Rocket 1000 boasts an impressive top speed of 196 mph (electronically restricted) and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 2.6 seconds. This surpasses the base Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance by 0.3 seconds and although it has not yet been officially released in the US, it was spotted being driven on American roads last year.

In terms of its exterior, the Brabus Rocket 1000 maintains the use of red details at the front, similar to the previous Brabus 930. These are further enhanced by the striking red glow of the Rocket Launch Ambience Light. The body is skillfully crafted with an abundance of carbon fiber, including the carbon ram air intakes on the grille which serve to cool the powerful V8 engine. Other notable features include carbon aero blades discreetly integrated around the apron’s sizable air inlets, specifically designed to direct airflow towards the carbon aero disc brakes and Monoblock P forged wheels (21 inches for the front and 22 inches for the rear). These impressive wheels are adorned with Continental SportContact 7 high-performance tires.

The vehicle has been upgraded with a widebody conversion, adding an extra 2.6 inches to its width in comparison to its original form. Its back end features a multi-piece rear wing made of carbon fiber, along with a carbon diffuser and four carbon-titan exhaust pipes. Additionally, the custom-designed active exhaust valves allow for the option to switch between a subtle or a more robust exhaust noise.

The bold exterior appearance can be combined with the aftermarket’s SportXtra suspension system, reducing the vehicle’s height by approximately 0.78 inches. This, along with the comprehensive aerodynamic package, aims to create a well-rounded performance on the racetrack, harnessing nearly one thousand horsepower.

The interior of the vehicle features a continuation of the red motif, designed with the renowned “Black and Bold” approach in mind. The seats are enhanced with perforation for a more luxurious feel, while the center console is adorned with high-gloss carbon accents. The entire cabin is covered in a quilted pattern, elevating the overall aesthetic. In a tribute to its establishment in 1977, Brabus has also imprinted a “77” logo throughout the interior.

Brabus has put a cap on the number of Rocker 1000 units they will produce, limiting it to just 25 examples. The exorbitant price tag for each car sits at around €450,000 (equivalent to approximately $484,929 in current exchange rates), which is more than double the cost of the base model.
