As a Vietnamese manufacturer, VinFast may not have received the desired reaction in the US, but that is not deterring the company from expanding its product line. The highly anticipated VF 3 boasts impressive features and specifications, making it a strong contender in the electric SUV market. It embodies the brand’s philosophy of excellence and sets a new standard for entry-level electric SUVs. The sleek design, advanced technology, and efficient performance make the VF 3 a formidable competitor and a game-changer in the electric vehicle market. With the addition of the VF 3, VinFast is expanding its

With many innovative electric vehicle (EV) options being introduced to the market, the VF3 strives to make a statement with its unique box-style design and eye-catching color choices. However, the question arises – could this boxy structure be detrimental to its aerodynamics and consequently, its driving range? Unfortunately, it seems like this specific EV is facing some challenges in that aspect right from the start.

The VF 3 has a tough and angular SUV design, aiming for a sense of size, however, it falls short in comparison to a three-door Mini Hardtop. In terms of measurements, this new electric vehicle measures 125.6 inches long, 66.1 inches wide, and 63.8 inches tall. It also boasts a decent ground clearance (which is not specified) while sitting on 16-inch wheels.

The interior of the cabin boasts a sizable 10-inch touchscreen featuring both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, the second row seats have the ability to be folded, allowing for a spacious cargo area of approximately 19.4 cubic feet.

While the VF 3 boasts both practicality and appealing aesthetics, it would be wise for potential purchasers to take into account its estimated range of over 125 miles. While this should suffice for urban commutes, it may not fare well on extended trips, especially in regions with limited electric vehicle usage.

VinFast has yet to reveal the cost, shipping dates, and terms of their warranty. In fact, details such as battery size, motor configuration, and power output remain a mystery. Nevertheless, it is estimated that the VF 3 will be priced at less than $20,000 and could potentially even drop below $12,500 with the inclusion of a $7,500 discount from the federal government. The company plans to begin accepting pre-orders at some point this year.

The VF 3 is set to join the current US lineup, consisting of the highly acclaimed VF 8 and VF 9. At the CES 2024 in Las Vegas, VinFast also introduced their latest concept truck, the VF Wild, which aims to compete with popular models such as the Ford F-150 and Tesla Cybertruck if it ever goes into mass production.

Ms. Tran Mai Hoa, deputy CEO of sales and marketing at VinFast Global, announced, “With the global launch of the VF 3, we are excited to present a fresh addition to our lineup of electric cars. Most importantly, we are offering a new partner for a new generation of youthful drivers who prioritize both functionality and individuality.”
