Chevy Malibu’s Big Ambition

Modified Midsize Sedan – Multi-Inspired

The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is an exquisite coachwork crafted in small quantities. Appearing to be captivated by the model, the operator of the Chevrolet Malibu was unable to obtain it, so they set about transforming their everyday mid-size sedan into a replica instead. The conclusion? Unsurprisingly, it’s not a pretty sight.

Glancing at the automobile from the front, it might pass off as an Aston Martin unless you observe that the logo on the hood isn’t the iconic wings configuration. With a double-flagged insignia familiar to anyone owning a Chevrolet Corvette, it’s clearly evident that there has been some modification. Taking a look at its side view, this modified vehicle appears even more eccentric.

The back doors are done away with in favor of new body kits to effect a coupe style. If the front openings were carried through to the rear, it might appear more realistic. Nevertheless, that’s not the situation here, with the panels on the windows not affixed neatly.

At the back, this vehicle is equipped with Ferrari’s last V8-powered sports car, the 458, boasting tail lamps plus a diffuser. Further enhancing its vigorous aura, the model even includes Formula 1-style center brake lights. It looks like we’ll never hear the exhaust sound as the video shared by Reddit user jonnyboiu abruptly ended when the cabin was unveiled.

The inside gave away that this was the previously-mentioned base car – a Chevy Malibu from its eight-iteration run. The door was opened with a flush-type door handle, just like what you’d see on a Nissan GT-R, which is usually installed to enhance the car’s aerodynamics. It’s unclear whether it had any sort of effect on this vehicle, but one thing’s for certain: the look was definitely there.

Nobody would immediately spot the vehicle as a Chevrolet Malibu, but we’re of the opinion that it is still one due to the same chassis and motor. We hope the proprietor is content with his construct, especially since the changes were probably not inexpensive.
