Chrysler Unveils All-Electric 4-Door Halcyon Concept, Embracing Tomorrow’s Technology

Chrysler’s Halcyon Concept: A Sustainable Electric Vision

The trend towards electric vehicles is rapidly expanding throughout the Stellantis company’s range of brands. With over 20 EV models currently available, even major names such as Jeep, Ram, and Dodge are making the switch to electricity. And now, the company’s prominent brand, Chrysler, has recently announced its plan to enter the electric vehicle market with a new concept car – the Chrysler Halcyon Concept.

Utilizing the STLA Large platform from Stellantis, the revolutionary Chrysler Halcyon Concept boasts a sleek four-door design with its body situated only four inches above the ground. The striking sculptural appearance is enhanced by a sweeping glass structure that encompasses the windshield, canopy, and rear hatch. This expansive windshield provides the driver with a panoramic view while smoothly integrating butterfly-hinged doors that permit effortless entry and exit. In fact, the doors lack traditional handles as the concept embraces autonomous accessibility.

Encased in a sleek Elemental Silver coating, the exterior of the Halcyon Concept showcases a sleek, cross-car front LED headlamp and the innovative, LED-embellished Chrysler wing emblem first introduced on the groundbreaking Airflow Concept. This revolutionary design also boasts front air curtains and side aero blades adorned with illuminated Chrysler wing logos to indicate the charge level.

The idea’s Interactive Air Technology comprises of a sliding backside lower aero distribution device crafted from a durable compound substance, along with a back spoiler and air suspension. The idea cruises on slim, machine-finished 22-inch wheels featuring a turbine-shaped arrangement, enveloped in low-resistance Pirelli 255/35R22 tires.

The Chrysler Halcyon Concept has a sophisticated interior that is made up of 95 percent sustainable materials. The cabin provides an almost 360-degree view and also offers a “digital detox” cockpit with stress-free autonomous features.

Integrating AI capabilities, the cockpit showcases a transparent cross-car display that spans from pillar to pillar, a retractable 15.6-inch screen, and a full-screen head-up display (HUD) with augmented reality. The innovative Halcyon Concept stays current with frequent over-the-air (OTA) updates made possible by STLA Brain technology.

The idea embraces the driver and front passenger with slender, pivotal-shaped seats – divided solely by the transparent central console – which have the ability to completely fold into the back seat stance. The driver manipulates the vehicle using a reverse yoke-inspired collapsible steering wheel adorned with a Chrysler emblem crafted from crushed and 100% repurposed composite substance sourced from music CDs.

In the meantime, the back seats can fold up into the storage compartment – either through biometric recognition or spoken instruction – to create room for additional items and merchandise. Additionally, a passageway between the rear seats permits the transport of large objects, like ski gear.
