Chrysler has recently unveiled the Halcyon, an eye-catching concept that offers a glimpse into the brand’s upcoming all-electric era, featuring autonomous driving and a “sustainably-driven” approach to both the exterior and interior design.

The Halcyon is constructed using the STLA Large platform, which will serve as the foundation for eight upcoming electric vehicles by 2026, including future models from Chrysler that will utilize this advanced technology. As one would predict, the front doors swing open conventionally, but the rear doors, opened in the opposite direction, contribute an innovative touch to the sleek facade. As a result, these batteries have a significantly reduced carbon footprint of 60% compared to current models.

This has been made possible through the inclusion of STLA AutoDrive, a cutting-edge platform that offers Level 4 self-driving capabilities.

If you’re not up for maneuvering the vehicle, the Halcyon is more than willing to handle the driving tasks, giving you the chance to unwind and take it easy. Whilst in full autonomous mode, the steering wheel and pedals tuck away, and the glass roof and windshield can be adjusted for added seclusion.

Introducing the innovative Stargazing Mode, featuring an augmented-reality windshield that projects information on stars and constellations while the seats recline back for maximum relaxation. And if stargazing isn’t your thing, fear not – the media system is equipped to cater to your preferences and history, ensuring a personalized selection of audio and media content. For those in search of entertainment beyond the stars, the option to watch movies or play video games is also available.

When you’re prepared to take command of the Halcyon, the operator can utilize the voice recognition technology to activate the controls. There are numerous drive settings and an array of driver aids available to assist them.The driver can access the voice recognition system to deploy the controls once they’re ready to assume control of the Halcyon. A variety of drive modes and a multitude of driver assistance features are at their disposal to aid them.
