Cybertruck Wins Again, with Unique Setup
The electric-powered Tesla Cybertruck is emerging as a menacing drag racer. Various videos depict the outride leaving both the GMC Hummer EV and the Lamborghini Urus SUV in its dust. But the latest Carwow clip is even more impressive, showing the off-road wagon trouncing the Ford F-150 Raptor R.
The Tesla blows away its opponent in sheer power, boasting a massive 845 horsepower and 685 pound-feet (930 Newton-meters) of torque. It’s also less lightweight than the Raptor R, tallying in at 6,799 pounds (3,084 kilograms), leaving Ford’s SUV a mere illusion of chance.
The bold and robust F-150 Raptor R is undoubtedly an impressive vehicle, as indicated by its supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine that pumps out a remarkable 700 horsepower and an immense 640 lb-ft (868 Nm) of torque. Despite its modified weight of 5,959 lbs (2,703 kg), this potency might not be enough to match its elapsed time.
The Tesla effortlessly surpasses the Ford in all three drag races. Its Cybertruck completed the quarter-mile struggle in eleven point two seconds, while the Raptor R took twelve point four seconds. The Tesla also won the rolling race and the brake trial, yet a nonconformist 328-feet (100-meter) sprint towards the end did make them more in parity.
The brief competition observed the Cybertruck speed along a dirt track, while the Raptor traversed on asphalt. Although it won the first bout, the Cybertruck fell short for the succeeding event. Still, it was able to recover and secure a victory during the third circuit, crossing the finish line in 5.1 seconds, with the street-going Raptor lagging slightly behind at 5.4 seconds. We’d definitely enjoy another race with the Raptor on dirt, though we are certain about which automobile would come out on top.
