Enhanced Touch Controls Now Available for Cadillac Lyriq at Dealerships!

The 2023 edition of the Cadillac Lyriq is anticipated to receive a software upgrade in the coming month, featuring enhancements to the universal remote and glove compartment controls for enhanced convenience. Furthermore, those using the myCadillac mobile application can look forward to quicker response times for remote commands.

The feature of universal remote enables users to configure up to eight universal remotes on the infotainment display, which also offers the convenience of remotely opening a garage door. Additionally, the glovebox control allows for easy access to the compartment with a simple touch on the center screen. While the unconventional method of opening a glovebox may have been expected to be flawless upon release, it is nonetheless a clever concept, particularly for deterring theft of valuable items.

According to John Roth, vice president of Cadillac, the Cadillac Lyriq will follow the trend of many modern technologies by receiving regular updates that bring new features and improvements. This ensures that Lyriq owners will always have the most up-to-date technology in their car, including the latest infotainment options, performance enhancements, and other advancements.

In contrast to the Velocity Mode OTA update released in September, the latest software update will necessitate a trip to the dealership. Cadillac will begin informing Lyriq owners when it is their turn to schedule an appointment with their dealers, and the updates will be performed in March. Our assumption is that this timeframe will be utilized for dealerships to get ready for the update.
