Ferrari Model Owners Enjoy Fun Times
The inaugural Ferrari Heritage Expedition spanned three days from the 27th to the 30th of September, taking participants on an awe-inspiring drive through Italy’s sinuous turns in iconic F40s. Attendees brought along around thirty F40s plus a few supplementary vehicles from the marque, which even included a police escort. The following video documents some of the most memorable instances during the tour.
The trajectory started with a grandeur at the Augustus Hotel & Resort situated in Forte dei Marmi, an area belonging to Tuscany’s Italian countryside. Captured on video was the sight of F40s in sync inside the car park. This prestigious grand tourer, of which 1211 models were extensively manufactured, was participated from around the world by varied automobile owners – as indicated their respective number plates – from both European and American continents.
The venture drove the participants through curvy routes across rural areas in Italy, such as the city of San Miniato. The following day was committed to traversing the Apennine Mountains. These mountain roads were once a part of the Mille Miglia course, an area where Ferrari reaped victorious results. The documentary portrays the F40s with their resonant exhausts while skilfully manoeuvring through restricted trails.
At long last, the travelers eventually made it to Maranello, Italy and the abode of Ferrari. The participants were even granted the privilege of doing a ceremonial circuit round the Fiorano test track of the car producer as well as enjoying an accelerating ride when they left the base of the manufacturer.
The tender mint hue in this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este was also present. This offered a gentle disruption to the largely red assemblage of vehicles.
Once they touched down at Ferrari’s base, the proprietors had a chance to drive around the Fiorano test track, plus do a fast take-off from the firm’s headquarters. Possessing an F40 seemingly made it that much more thrilling.
It has been nearly three and a half decades since the F40’s original launch, and it is still an iconic presence in the world of supercars. It boasts a twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V8 engine, producing 471 horsepower. This sporty vehicle comes only equipped with a five-speed manual transmission.
