Hear the Roar of Pagani’s New Longtail Track Machine

Serious Track-Only Weapon: Extended Body, Giant Rear Wing

Pagani Automobili is preparing to reveal a remarkable surprise, as hinted by a recent teaser that offers a glimpse at what seems to be an incredibly theatrical hypercar. Cloaked in dark fabric, this enigmatic elongated vehicle features a large rear wing and curvaceous bodywork that extends from front to back. The substantial size and prominent spoiler give off the impression of a GT1 or LMP race car.

Pagani recently released a teaser video featuring the question, “What’s your favorite music?” followed by the distinct sound of a V12 engine revving towards its redline. Accompanied by footage of well-known tracks such as Imola Circuit, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and Yas Marina Circuit, the video showcases the power and performance of Pagani’s vehicles.

The first rule in rewriting this article is to ensure that the exact quoted text remains unchanged. According to the statement, it appears that the new vehicle will be designed specifically for the racetrack, and Pagani cleverly hints at this. “A new creation from Pagani Atelier is right on track,” the caption reads.

The potential arrival may be centered around either the fresh Utopia or Huayra model. We will opt for the latter due to the design of the frontal section.

In the end, the unveiling of the Utopia came as a surprise in the latter part of 2022 and it seems that Pagani intends to proceed cautiously before adding distinct versions of its newest masterpiece. Though officially discontinued, the Huayra saw a new addition with the arrival of the closed-top Huayra Imola in 2020, and Pagani continued its streak by producing the Imola Roadster just last year.

It is noteworthy that the automobile depicted in the above teaser bears a striking resemblance to the side view of the Huayra R and the Zonda R/Zonda Revolucion. Considering that these models were introduced towards the end of their production cycles, it is improbable that this could be the Utopia R.

It is highly probable that a unique Huayra R will be unveiled, featuring custom embellishments from Pagani’s exclusive Unico or Atelier programs. These services are renowned for producing exceptional automobiles, such as the famed Zonda Attack.

The elongated body design sparks our curiosity about the potential evolution of the Codalunga – a highly exclusive hypercar influenced by the longtail race cars from the 1960s. However, we must keep in mind that this was an exceptional vehicle created in partnership with Pagani Grandi Complicazioni, and it seems unlikely that they would further develop a limited edition car. Unless, of course, a request for personalized modifications came from one of the five lucky owners.

It is common knowledge that the undisclosed Pagani model will be equipped with the AMG-manufactured 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine. Both the Utopia and Huayra models are currently powered by the M158 engine, which produces an impressive 852 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque in the case of the Utopia. It is hoped that the new vehicle will deliver even greater power and, ideally, offer a manual transmission option.

Pagani has yet to announce the official date of the debut for their newest addition to the family, however we anticipate that the wait will not be much longer.
