Texas tuner releases epic final edition of America’s craziest truck before farewell
This piece has been revised to include costs for the enhancements geared towards both performance and off-roading.
It’s a bittersweet reality that the Ram TRX will bid adieu after MY2024, however, before its departure, Hennessey has introduced a commemorative ‘Last Stand’ edition of the Mammoth 1000 as a homage to this remarkable pickup.
The 6.2-liter V8 engine has been significantly upgraded with a 2.65-liter high-flow supercharger and modified calibrations. As a result, this truck now boasts an impressive 1,012 horsepower and an astonishing 969 pound-feet of torque, a significant improvement from its stock outputs of 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet.
According to the tuner in Texas, their modifications have enabled the full-size truck to achieve a 0-60 mph time of only 3.2 seconds. This impressive acceleration surpasses that of a Ferrari Roma. Additionally, the truck can complete a quarter-mile in 11.4 seconds, reaching speeds of over 120 mph. This is a significant improvement from the stock truck’s top speed of 118 mph.
If you have a strong desire to conquer the desert terrain, Hennessey presents an available Off-Road package. This remarkable add-on includes a front and rear leveling kit, as well as 35- or 37-inch tires specifically designed for off-road use. It also comes with LED lights, personalized bumpers, 20-inch Hennessey wheels with 10 spokes and power-operated retractable steps. And if that isn’t satisfactory, the customization company also offers Wilwood brakes and enhancements for the transmission. When investing in a truck of this caliber, it only makes sense to go all out and include every high-end feature.
This particular vehicle, known as the Last Stand edition, is the Mammoth 1000 and comes in three fresh paint options: Delmonico Red, Night Edge Blue, and Harvest Sunrise Orange. In addition, customers have the opportunity to select from previously popular shades like Billet Silver, Granite Grey, and Pitch Black. For a unique touch, Hennessey adds specialized ‘Last Stand’ decals on the rear fenders to distinguish it from a standard Mammoth 1000.
Every model will come with a unique plaque showcasing its production number, serving as a constant reminder to buyers of the one-of-a-kind Mammoth 1000 Last Stand. With a limited run of only 200 units available worldwide, this truck solidifies its position as a highly coveted item for collectors down the line. Furthermore, the impressively strong vehicle offers customers an added sense of security with its three-year/36,000-mile warranty.
Consumers now have the opportunity to acquire their very own TRX or select from the array of vehicles available at Hennessey. The enhancements to boost performance are priced at $36,950; furthermore, the optional off-road package incurs an additional cost of $19,950. A standard initial payment of $96,985 is required, meaning a total investment of at least $153,485 – making it a more economical choice compared to the Militem Magnum 700.
The TRX moniker may resurface at some point, but in the present moment, we must make use of the Ram 1500 RHO. Equipped with a potent 540-horsepower Hurricane inline-six engine, it may not possess the same brawn as its predecessor, but it is comparable to the F-150 Raptor which boasts a 450-horsepower EcoBoost V6. It is likely that upgrades for the Hurricane engine will become available in the near future.
