On Thursday, around 2.6 million Acura and Honda vehicles from the 2017 to 2020 model years in the U.S. were impacted by a fuel pump recall.

Honda recently noticed that a hefty selection of vehicles possess a misconfigured fuel pump impeller. This misshape could interfere with the mechanism’s body, leading to stoppage of its functioning. A Honda representative informed Motor1 that replacing the fuel pump requires two to three hours, however, this time can differ depending on the vehicle. “At this stage, it is too soon for [Honda] to give an exact timeline when enough parts will be accessible for all impacted models, but we are striving to raise supply as rapidly as possible,” the spokesperson added.
