Don’t bother with BMW’s M Performance Parts; Hyundai wants you to meet its N Performance Parts. The brand is highlighting these new upgrades on a specially modified Ioniq 5 N, called the NPX1, at the Tokyo Auto Salon. While additional features have been offered for N gas-powered models in the past, this marks the debut of such enhancements for an electric N vehicle.

.Even though the NPX1 is classified as a prototype, Hyundai intends to begin production of components for the Ioniq 5 N in the coming months. The TAS exhibition model exudes aggression with its all-encompassing body modification, including a carbon fiber front splitter and an imposing rear spoiler. In addition, it boasts more robust side panels and a larger diffuser, while the wheels are crafted using a mix of alloy and carbon materials to decrease overall weight.

The exterior of the car has been modified with suspension lowering springs and improved brake pads. While the interior pictures have not been disclosed, Hyundai assures that the NPX1 boasts sporty bucket seats and utilizes Alcantara extensively.

In the future, the South Korean automotive company plans to create N Performance Parts for their entire range of N cars.

Lexus is following a similar concept for their upcoming electric SUV, the RZ. Like the NPX1 concept, it will feature a lineup of performance components. However, unlike the NPX1, the RZ will be made available for purchase in its current form. This limited edition model will only have 100 units, all based on the RZ450e. Similar to the Subaru WRX S4 STI Sport unveiled at TAS, the RZ will be sold through a lottery system. Interested buyers in Japan can enter the lottery starting immediately until February 19, and the fortunate winners will be announced on February 22.

Lexus’s newest electric vehicle, the RZ450e F Sport, is sporting a bold new look thanks to an aggressive body kit that includes two rear spoilers. With a total of 17 aerodynamic components and a sporty suspension kit, this SUV also boasts 21-inch wheels for added style and performance. At first glance, it’s clear that this model is slightly larger in size, boasting longer, wider, and taller dimensions than its standard counterpart. The eye-catching matte white exterior is complemented by a luxurious black interior, accented with hints of blue and adorned with soft suede upholstery.

There is no additional power boost in the latest model, as it still utilizes a dual-motor system consisting of a front-mounted motor producing 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet (265 Nm) of torque, while the rear motor boasts 107 horsepower and 130 pound-feet (170 Nm) of torque.

Following the footsteps of the 2023 RZ Sport Concept, the limited edition is priced at 11,800,000 yen ($81,300).
