Lamborghini Urus Crushing Nurburgring with Plug-In Hybrid

It will be some time before Lamborghini is willing to let us see the rejuvenation of the Urus. The mid-cycle remodeling includes a redesigned look and an all-new plug-in hybrid engine. Recent clandestine imagery has captured the motor company testing their Urus PHEV at the intense Nurburgring race course.

The automaker will conceal the hybrid platform beneath a restructured front fascia. While the SUV remains covered in a thick covering, we can make out the revamped headlights, and it looks as though its front bumper style has been adjusted. It is possible that the taillights could have also been altered, and the SUV still sports four exhausts at the rear.

.The Lamborghini Urus is set to retain its twin-turbocharged V8 engine, while also getting some kind of electrical assistance. Although precise particulars are still unknown, it can be assumed that Porsche’s introduction of the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, which offers 729hp and 700 lb-ft of torque, may serve as an indication. Both of these SUVs take advantage of Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform, which could mean that they’ll have a lot more in common than just their bones.

The Urus should have even more power than the Porsche, and it should be sold with a higher cost. Reportedly, there also might be a version of the Urus with an ultra-strong engine pumping out 820 hp. This would visibly separate it from the Cayenne.

Captured in July, the updated SUV’s interior revealed minimal changes. The lower display seems to command more prominence on the dash while Lamborghini readjusted the shortcut keys between the two center screens.

Lamborghini has collateralized that the Urus with a connection orientation will be unveiled in 2024. It belongs to the company’s endeavors to electrify its series by 2025, including the freshly borne Revuelto. The fresh supercar yet sports a V12 motor, but it is coordinated with three electrical motors that jointly contribute 1,001 hp.

The well-known Italian marque is currently in the process of creating the successor to the Huracan, which could feature a hybrid powertrain. Although the specifics remain unclear, it seems unlikely that Lamborghini will switch to a V8 engine based on an espionage video taken recently that suggested a turbocharged V10 underhood.
