In October, the all-new Lamborghini Urus S was unveiled with a modified engine and an array of configurable options. The company endowed the S with the similar engine renovations as the fresh Performante, generating the same 666 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque.

Nevertheless, the Urus S is slightly less snappy regarding reaching 62 miles per hour compared to Performante by 0.2 seconds, needing 3.5 seconds for the race. Moreover, due to its substantial weight of 104 additional pounds more than the Performante model, it doesn’t benefit from its reduction. Nevertheless, the maximum speed remains unchanged at 190 mph which can be attained in 12.5 seconds.

The Urus has continued to be the most successful of Lamborghini’s offerings, and the release of the new Urus S and Performante versions should ensure its popularity persists. In 2022, Lamborghini witnessed a 10% boost in sales worldwide, totalling 9,233 automobiles. Of this figure, more than half were many Urus models, which saw 5,367 models sold. Second best-selling was the entry level Huracan, which realized 3,113 sales over the year. The company also experienced record profits in 2022, peaking at an impressive 56%.

The Urus collection is set to expand once more with the unveiling of its plug-in hybrid incarnation in 2024. Affirmation that the carmaker is committed to fabricating this much-anticipated model, which our paparazzi has spied while on the road, paves the way towards complete electrification. It has been declared that Lamborghini will launch a completely electric Urus in 2029.
