Mulliner Takes Bentley Bentayga from Subtle to Striking with Custom Two-Tone Design

The Bentley Bentayga boasts an impressive presence and a plethora of features, adhering to the familiar formula of other high-end vehicles in its class. It offers a diverse range of trim options and the ability to personalize one’s own vehicle. Yet for those seeking a truly unique experience, there is Mulliner. Once solely a coach building company, this brand has evolved into the exclusive commissioning division of Bentley.

For a certain fee, they have the ability to bring about desired results. Take for example this exclusive Bentley Bentayga EWB (Extra WheelBase) that was “curated” by Mulliner in collaboration with customers. Bentley states that the process involved extensive effort, but in the end, Mulliner expedited the availability of the ‘two-tone’ feature by a year so that all customers can appreciate it starting from today.

Bentley’s Bentayga is an impressive luxury SUV that comes in both the standard and extended wheelbase options. It boasts a powerful 4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, generating an impressive 542 horsepower and 558 pound-feet of torque. Those who opt for the non-extended wheelbase version can also choose a hybrid option, offering 456 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. Select customers have even personalized their Bentaygas with the Mulliner Azure model and chosen custom paint schemes.

After much consideration, a decision was made to go with a two-tone paint job. The main body panels and 22″ wheels would be painted in Kingfisher blue, creating a striking contrast with the Onyx black used for the hood, roof, and tailgate. To further enhance the overall look, the addition of Blackline and Touring packs were also taken into account.

The shiny obsidian finish adorns the front grill, air ducts, and back diffuser of the vehicle. The dark tinted windows and omission of lettering only enhance its commanding aura. Opting for a Gloss Black Bentayga is quite unconventional, as it sheds the conventional mature essence often associated with Bentley automobiles, instead making a bold declaration. This eye-catching declaration will surely turn heads as it roams the streets of Irvine, California in the near future.

While it may not appeal to everyone, the inside of the Peck’s Bentayga was carefully planned and crafted. Its conception took place during extensive design sessions with Mulliner’s design manager Phill Dean, and each element of color serves a specific purpose.

Similar to the majestic Kingfisher bird, the Bentayga effortlessly incorporates a combination of Imperial blue and Mandarin throughout its upholstery and trims. In addition, strategic Kingfisher accents can also be found in various areas of the vehicle. The impeccable quality and design of the Bentayga’s fit and finish is impossible to overlook, evident in details such as the door panels and seat stitching. These elements serve as a testament to the Bentayga’s superiority over mass-market cars. A unique “one-of-one for the (customer name)” badge adds an extra touch of exclusivity, although it may pique the interest of future owners. This distinctive badge serves as a confirmation that this luxurious car is exclusively for the Pecks, and the Pecks alone.

Curiously – and not entirely unexpectedly – the manufacturer also discloses that three-quarters of all Bentleys currently boast Mulliner elements. Furthermore, there was a substantial uptick of 43% in Mulliner requests in 2023 compared to the previous year, which was already a prosperous one. It is challenging to overlook the possibility that for certain individuals, the color palette (particularly in the interior) may become less alluring over time. Yet, with the presence of Mulliner, the opportunity remains for self-expression and having an array of options is rarely a disadvantage.
