Upgrades for Q50 & Q60 Available
Boasting a dynamic yet bold aesthetic, the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400 continues to be among the top performance sedans available in terms of outward appearance and proportion. Despite this, some car owners still desire extra opportunities to customize their ride, and refine both its physical presentation and dynamism. Now, in response to these demands, this Japanese manufacturer is unveiling an extensive selection of components and accessories made for the Q50 sports model, which will be presented on a one-of-a-kind modified Q50 at SEMA this year.
Undoubtedly, the top attraction of this new kit is the 19-inch rims created by Nissan Motorsport (Nismo). Constructed from aluminum die-castings, its design was inspired by motor racing. You can fit the 9.5-inch broad wheels on either a Q50 or Q60 standard version and Red Sport 400 configuration with Nismo or Infiniti center caps in semi-gloss black, anthracite, or bronze finishes.
Of course, there is more to it. Apart from the iconic Mobil 1 paint job, additional upgrades to the suspension were made. The list comprises fresh front upper arms, trailing rods and a few other elements that are said to lead to an improved cornering experience. Meanwhile, braking power has been reinforced with Performance Street brake pads sitting within red-coloured calipers decorated with the Infiniti logo.
Under the hood, some modifications have been made. For example, this 3.0-liter turbo engine now has a larger billet aluminum coolant expansion tank with an enlarged capacity of 70 percent more than the regular option as well as a cooler look. Additionally, there’s an auxiliary intercooler tank which can store 1.7 gallons of coolant and a new CARB-approved cold-air intake and heat exchanger. Lastly, Mobil 1 0W-20 full synthetic motor oil is utilized to lubricate the engine’s internals. Unfortunately, no reports have been presented regarding an increase in power output, likely indicating that the V6 engine still produces 400 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque.
Infiniti has announced that changes and improvements will soon be obtainable equipping both brand-new cars and previously delivered vehicles. It gave notice that the parts would be available on their Motorsport website as soon as possible, for Q50 and Q60 models.
