New Brabus S-Class: 930 HP Hybrid Powerhouse Unveiled

Upgrade to Brabus for more power than the Mercedes-AMG S63’s 791 horses.

When it comes to horsepower, 791 is sufficient for the majority. However, for a select few, “sufficient” is never satisfactory. Enter Brabus – the renowned German tuner has recently revealed their latest creation, the 930 S. This beast is built upon the new Mercedes-AMG S63 E-Performance and, as the name implies, boasts an impressive 930 horsepower.

A whopping 930 horsepower packed in a colossal, luxurious sedan. It sounds ridiculous – and that’s without even considering the mind-blowing 1113.7 pound-feet of torque. However, this is exactly what Brabus has achieved by upgrading the 4.0-liter AMG V-8 engine. Through the installation of new turbochargers, an enhanced exhaust system, and corresponding tuning, they were able to boost the output from 603 to 740 hp. Interestingly, Brabus has chosen to leave the 190-hp electric motor at the rear axle untouched.According to Brabus, the 930 can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 mph, although this is electronically limited. What’s perhaps more astonishing is that the upgraded drivetrain comes with a three-year or 62,000-mile warranty from Brabus.

Brabus has once again performed their signature modifications both inside and outside of the vehicle. The customary Brabus design enhancements such as abundant carbon fiber elements and colossal 22-inch monoblock wheels are prominently featured on the exterior. Meanwhile, the interior is adorned with luxurious quilted leather that would satisfy any discerning individual’s taste. Brabus has also shared photos of a specific model with an interior clad in light blue leather and microfiber, and it is truly impressive.

Brabus has also implemented modifications to the suspension system, resulting in a decrease of the ride height in specific driving modes. Additionally, the front tires have been upgraded to 265/35ZR22, while the rear tires are now 295/30ZR22. However, even with these changes, the vehicle still maintains its hefty weight, tipping the scales at nearly three tons. According to Brabus, the car weighs in at an astonishing 5,730 pounds.

Due to the incorporation of an electric motor and a 6-kWh AMG battery in the rear, the Brabus 930 is able to achieve impressive fuel efficiency with a stated 53.5 mpg. However, attaining this mileage may prove challenging if you are not mindful of when to utilize the full extent of the 930 horsepower.

At €405,000, Brabus sets a hefty price for all of their offerings, equivalent to approximately $441,000 at the time of this writing. While not inexpensive, the combination of exceptional power and exclusivity rarely comes cheap.
