4 Screens for Climate & Seat Functions: Digital Display on Dash x3
Jeep has unveiled new information regarding its upcoming electric SUV. The brand released the first official photos of the highly anticipated vehicle, which goes by the name Wagoneer S. Prepare for a tech-filled experience with an abundance of digital screens and touch-sensitive panels.
According to recently released interior images from Jeep, the Wagoneer S boasts a total of four screens on its dashboard. The first is a display screen for the driver which, in this particular set-up, currently shows a navigation route outlining highways near Detroit rather than the vehicle’s speed. Navigating to the center of the dashboard, one will find an infotainment screen specifically designed for passenger entertainment. However, it is worth mentioning that the screen inexplicably features traditional level meters while playing Nick Mulvey’s Moment of Surrender. Perusing further, there are also touch settings available for the heated seats incorporated into the center screen.
At the bottom, there is a compact display that seems to have a focus on providing comfort for passengers. In addition to managing temperature controls, we notice settings for massaging seats and defrosting. There’s even an option to turn off the screen, suggesting that there may be additional physical controls for frequently used features located elsewhere. However, from what we can gather from these two interior pictures, the electric Wagoneer’s functions will primarily utilize touch-screen technology. This includes the passenger display, which appears to offer the ability to watch movies or engage in other forms of entertainment that are not accessible to the driver.
Jeep has recently released new photos of their upcoming vehicle, but unfortunately, they have not provided any specific details to go along with them. However, there are a few things that we do know at this point. For instance, the “tech-focused interior” will include a 19-speaker McIntosh sound system. Additionally, the vehicle will come equipped with a dual-pane panoramic moonroof as standard, and Jeep has also confirmed that it will feature a unique Selec-Terrain system with multiple drive modes.
The 600-horsepower engine is likely to catch the attention of potential buyers. In a recent teaser, Jeep hinted at an impressive acceleration time of 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, solidifying its spot on the list of the fastest SUVs globally. While there is limited information about the powertrain, it is confirmed to be utilizing the STLA Large platform and will come with standard 4xe-branded all-wheel drive.
The anticipated release of the Jeep Wagoneer S will be in autumn. We can expect to receive more information by that time.
