First Look: Front-End Design
A thorough scrutiny of the forthcoming Chevrolet Equinox was recently conducted at the Milford Proving Grounds. This example had monitoring apparatus on its rims and a number of cables distributed around the bodywork.
In comparison with the present Equinox, the upcoming model appears even more carved and has a more vertical posture. Additionally, it seems to be slightly bigger in terms of physical size. It has some resemblances to the most modern Chevy Traverse.
In comparison, the latest nose features a cuboidal grille, sporting horizontal accents. Slim headlamps are situated near the outer edges of the bonnet. The main lights are slightly lower on the sides.
In the rear, the tail-lights are compact yet span a broader area. When you take a closer look, an exhaust pipe is discernible emanating from the right side passenger door. The current styling conceals the exhaust outlets.
We still have not seen any images of the interior of the new Equinox. Rumor has it that the inside will reflect a dual-screen setup, resembling the atmosphere of the Equinox EV.
The engine options for the upcoming Equinox remain a secret. The existing model features a turbocharged 1.5L motor making 175 hp and 203 lb-ft of torque that’s mated exclusively to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Though it’s plausible that the automaker could incorporate a hybrid system into the new vehicle to do its part in boosting the fuel efficiency and emissions, there hasn’t been any official announcement on this matter.
All available evidence suggests the new Equinox will make its debut for the 2025 year. Consequently, a launch should occur by the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.
Chevrolet is broadening the selection of the Equinox lineup with an electric-powered edition that will go up on sale in the autumn of 2023. It’s built on the corporation’s Ultium platform. Consumers can pick a front-wheel drive configuration with an approximated 210 horsepower or an all-wheel drive option producing 290 horsepower. Chevrolet estimates the range of the vehicle to be as much as 300 miles.
The fundament Equinox Electric Vehicle 1LT will kick off at a certain point. Chevrolet is yet to provide estimations for the 2LT, 3LT, 2RS, or 3RS versions.
