The Coupe’s Updates
Since its introduction in 2020, BMW’s latest model, the 4 Series, has seen numerous improvements. Most recently, its interior was refreshed, and further changes are now afoot. Fresh images indicate that the 4 Series convertible is slated to receive a revised look, featuring subtle modifications to its front and rear panels.
Just a few days after images were captured of the renewed coupe being tested, the new pictures have surfaced. All models in the lineup will sport the identical styling updates. The model will feature reworked headlights and taillights plus further modifications that can’t be seen due to the camouflaging around them may be in place. This means amplified bumper designs and crisp accents. Having said that, from what we can see, the cabriolet is nearly indistinguishable from the current version, not providing any revolutionary alterations.
The images appear to depict two various 4 Series models. The racier M440i stands out from the rest, prominently exhibiting a camouflage wrap around its grille, signifying BMW is likely in the process of altering its aesthetics. It’s also likely that this M440i contains a redefined front bumper; to discern precisely what it looks like though, we’ll have to wait until the cloak is taken off.
BMW recently modernized the interior of the 4 Series. The tech conglomerate integrated the advanced double-screened iDrive 8 system which is becoming increasingly mainstream within their entirety of models. Drivers perceive a 12.3-inch digital gauge set and a larger 14.9-inch infotainment display on the dash, while maintaining few physical keys.
There is no word on whether BMW has planned any powertrain revamps, but we feel it is unlikely there will be substantive modifications in the automotive. Rather, it appears that the existing engine capabilities should be carried over to the new car with only small adjustments. For those desiring to move away from fuel-driven machines, BMW already markets the i4 as an electric alternative.
BMW has yet to unveil an exact timeline for the unveiling of their newly-made 4 Series convertibles and coupes. Set for manufacturing commencement in March 2024, the Bavarian carmaker has sufficient time to complete improvements, provide teasers, and officially show off the car. It’s anticipated that the launch will occur prior to the end of the year; although a start of 2024 display is also feasible. Apart from alterations in look and design, BMW is likely to implement some slight modifications to the vehicle.
