2024 Nissan Kicks: Great Value or High Price?

Nissan Must Improve Beyond Halogens and Drum Brakes.

Nissan has proclaimed the costings for the Kicks in 2024 with makeovers being presented for the fresh model year. Despite only slight modifications, this small crossover stays a reasonably-priced preference within the market due to the rate readjustments.

For the 2024 model year, the Nissan Kicks has a base cost of $20,790, only a slight upward adjustment of $200 since last year, allowing it to remain at almost the $20,000 mark. With this approach to pricing, the option of the Kicks remains open to a massive variety of consumers.

Without any alteration of the Kicks’ layout, owners of the mid-grade SV variation can now take advantage of the NissanConnect Services for a three-year trial. This service was previously only offered to those who had purchased the top-spec SR but its introduction presents an extra convenience; one can use their smartphone to unlock as well as lock doors and start/stop the engine.

It is essential to take into account that the economical price of the Kicks 2024 estimations involves a few concessions. The basic S variant has halogen headlights, rear drum brakes, and steel rims which measure 16 inches are set in place. Inside the cabin, manual climate handling and a suggested central armrest are provided. Even if the SV beginning cost is approximated at $22,650, still the halogen headlights remain in operation – but, fortunately, the rear braking system have been advanced to discs.

Advantageously, the Kicks still offers basics like power windows, door locks, a six-speaker audio set, and the seven-inch infotainment unit. It also packs several driver assistance features, including automatic collision braking for pedestrians, rear robotic stopping, lane deviation alerting, invisible zone monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alerts.

The flagship SR trim, retailing from a base price of $23,350, comes with every conceivable amenity. Upgrades comprise of disk brakes, 17-inch alloy rims coupled to colored exterior accents, roof rails, LED lighting, advanced Intelligent Cruise Control, and an 8-inch info screen.

Notably, the quoted prices do not take in account the $1,335 destination and handling fee.

Propelling the 2024 Nissan Kicks is a 1.6 litre four-cylinder powerplant that pumps out 122 horsepower and a hefty 114 lb-ft of torque, that connects to an Xtronic CVT (constantly variable transmission), sending the energy solely to the front wheels. Besides its economical ask price, the Kicks also serves up excellent gas mileage with EPA figures showing an impressive 31/36/33 mpg city/highway/combined.

As vehicle prices are continually being elevated, in the US only a scant few stay beneath $20,000. The Kicks at its beginning price drawn near that figure serves as excellent news for bargain hunters. Nonetheless, it must be mentioned that the modified Chevrolet Trax comes in at an even lower rate (not considering delivery costs), hence rendering the new model an alluring choice.

It is to be hoped that Nissan will attend to the deficiency of customary extras in the newly designed version, supposedly set to unveil in June of 2024.
