2025: Awkward SUV Replaces BMW iX3

New iX3 Leverages Neue Klasse Platform

Come 2025, BMW is set to start a new chapter of its electro-motive campaign with the roll-out of an advanced platform for electric cars. This new structure dubbed, “Neue Klasse” will feature in six different carbon-neutral SUVs, and these recently-taken spy shots offer us a sneak preview at one such upcoming e- Vehicle in its trial phase.

Our sources in Germany granted us a selection of clandestine photographs showcasing the NA5 endeavor, which is estimated to break cover by the summer of 2025. This elevated electric vehicle seems to be approximately comparable to the current X3 in size. Through crafty utilization of space and extended overhangs however, styles have made it possible to feature an expanded cargo area behind the aft seats in addition to a commodious cabin.

Already in its nascent stages, this SUV is exhibiting elements of its front end. While recogizable influences from the Neue Klasse concept can be seen, we can also tell that the headlamps might not be in their final form. Moreover, there are further details worthy of mention such as the stealthily integrated door handles, the giant 255/45 R20 wheels, blue brake calipers displayed on all four wheels and the peculiar panel on the back window quarter.

Back in August, BMW declared their first vehicle to be built on the Neue Klasse platform would be an electric sedan. Reports then suggested the SUV pictured here could arrive even earlier, though this has not yet been confirmed. Production for the inside-cab eco-friendly family minivan is assumed to start up in July of 2025 at the Hungary facility. “We anticipate the Neue Klasse will be responsible for over half of our sales before the decade ends,” remarked BMW CEO Oliver Zipse last year.

Little is still known as to the powertrain opportunities. Certainly, both rear- and four-wheel drive versions are thought to be given, coupled with a handful of contrasting battery capabilities. According to initial rumors, the mileage between two top-offs could be as much as 360 miles, contingent upon the capacity of the battery.

Within the span of a couple of years after introducing its substitute for the iX3, BMW shall introduce no less than five electric automobiles. Numerous of them will be made in Germany and before the completion of the decade, the business’s South Carolina facility will similarly commence manufacturing Neue Klasse-based models.
