BAC Expands US: Custom Programs Closer To Home

US is Largest Market for BAC.

By the close of 2022, Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) had manufactured their 150th Mono and expanded their market presence worldwide. Looking ahead to this year, the custom car-building firm will continue to amplify their reach with the addition of three new dealer outlets in the United States.

Three additional dealership locations, Philadelphia, Greenwich and Newport Beach, are now available through an agreement between BAC and RDS Automotive Group. This convenient add-on provides customers with expanded access to the Mono Bespoke customization program, backed by servicing and aftersales support.

The business was integrated in 2009, and an initial Mono version was released in the following year 2011. Following the rapid expansion in last year, BAC has now won over 48 export destinations to market the model, embracing retail distribution points such as in Germany, Singapore, as well as Malaysia.

Awhile back, the 150th Mono car which was developed by the company featured Mono R versions. This rides on a naturally aspirated four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine capable of 342 horses in strength. Further, a 6-speed sequential gearbox from Formula 3 is incorporated into its powertrain. To personalize it further, the proprietor had chosen to add some Highlighter Yellow on the silver-adorned car through the BAC boutique program.

If the Mono R is too extreme for you, BAC does offer a milder variant. It boasts an impressive 300+ horse-power from its 2.5-litre engine and can catapult it forward to 60 mph in mere 2.7 seconds! Max speed can reach up to 170 mph.

Chris Lockhart, Chief of Global Sales for BAC, proclaimed that the U.S. is the company’s premier global sector, declaring that “this day symbolizes yet another consequential landmark in the trajectory of BAC with the introduction of our genuine operations in North America.” This year, customers had to import their items until BAC initiated a supplier based in Arizona back in 2017.

This year, Mike Flewitt, formerly of McLaren, joined the management crew at BAC as they focused on extending their business activities. Before arriving, Flewitt had occupied a spot at McLaren for eight years and assisted in the unveiling of the MP4-12C from 2013 up to 2021.
