Bronco Raptor Trim Launching for This Year’s Solar Eclipse by Ford

Blackout Package Release: Eclipse-Themed Drop Arriving April 8th

In just a few weeks, the United States will witness its second total solar eclipse in seven years. Coincidentally, on April 8th, the same date as the eclipse, Ford will be hosting one of its famous Bronco Off-Roadeo events in Texas. It’s an exciting event for Bronco enthusiasts as they will have the opportunity to experience the eclipse from within the line of totality. And to celebrate this celestial phenomenon, Ford is planning to unveil a special blackout package for the highly anticipated Bronco Raptor.

We will not make a comparison between the black features on a vehicle and a truly remarkable and enlightening experience that one can have in their lifetime. This is because the specific details of this offering will not be disclosed until its official release. It is assumed that it will include black accents and branding for the top-tier Bronco model, however, confirmation can only be obtained once Ford reveals the full truck after the eclipse. The eclipse will commence at approximately 11:07 AM in the Pacific Ocean, and those fortunate enough to be in its direct pathway will relish in over four minutes of complete and utter darkness, depending on their location. For those who are attending the Bronco Off-Roadeo near Austin, this moment will occur around 1:35 PM Central time, assuming that the weather conditions permit it.

There is a cost associated with enjoying the eclipse alongside fellow Bronco enthusiasts. The excursion has a price tag of $1,995 and extends over two days, accommodating up to four individuals. This fee covers five delicious meals, professionally-led off-road excursions, and two nights of camping. This arrangement aims to ease the issue of heavy traffic as masses flock to the 115-mile-wide area of totality in the vicinity. Ford anticipates a generous span of 4 minutes and 13 seconds for the totality phase, offering some of the longest observation times for this astronomical event. For those who are only interested in participating for a single day, they can opt to join for a reduced rate of $595.

Last year, Ford began allowing non-Bronco owners to participate in their Bronco Off-Roadeo events. However, this particular event is reserved exclusively for owners, including those with a Bronco Sport. Those who have attended previous Off-Roadeo events and potential future buyers with new Bronco reservations on file are also qualified to register.

According to surveys conducted by Ford Enthusiast Vehicles, “94 percent of individuals who participate in Bronco Off-Roadeo have given it a 5-star rating,” stated Matt Simpson, the general manager. In an effort to enhance the already high satisfaction rate, Bronco and Bronco Sport customers are now being presented with a unique and exclusive opportunity. This will undoubtedly add another star to their experience at Bronco Off-Roadeo.

In the year 2024, a complete solar eclipse will be observable in varying degrees across the entire continental United States. Several large cities such as Dallas, Little Rock, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Niagara Falls will experience totality, while other areas like Memphis, St. Louis, Detroit, and Pittsburgh will be close to it. However, having personally witnessed a fully eclipsed sun for almost two minutes in 2017, I highly recommend seeking out totality. No description or images can truly capture its ethereal essence. It is a truly transcendent experience.

In case you happen to overlook this event, the subsequent total eclipse will traverse a portion of Europe and the Arctic area in August 2026. Nevertheless, individuals residing in North America will have to endure until 2044 for another opportunity to witness it firsthand.
