Techart’s Body Kit and Engine Upgrades Elevate the 911 Turbo S.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S is a fantastic car, with one notable exception for those who have an admiration for the iconic ducktail spoiler. This sentiment is shared by Techart, a tuning company based in Germany. In their latest offering, they have added a ducktail spoiler to the Turbo S and increased the horsepower to a whopping 790. Feast your eyes on the stunning Techart GTstreet R Touring. However, there’s more than just a new rear wing to marvel at here. The body kit, consisting of over 40 components, has been completely revamped by Techart. This includes customizable front and rear aprons, as well as new carbon fenders, side skirts, air intakes, fender flares, and a hood. Notably, there is an abundance of carbon used, which can be finished with either a glossy or matte appearance.
However, the standout feature has to be the charming ducktail located at the rear. It is a timeless aesthetic that we would love to see more of directly from Porsche. Techart has replaced the conventional Turbo S configuration with this sturdy spoiler, claiming that it offers optimal downforce and aerodynamic performance at elevated velocities. Furthermore, it weighs 60 percent less than the original one and improves air flow to the enhanced flat-six engine, aiding in its cooling process.
It is crucial to note that in addition to its renowned GTstreet R Touring model, Techart also provides power enhancements. There are two options available, with the initial stage providing a modest increase of 60 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque to the already formidable engine. The second stage, however, is more aggressive, incorporating new turbochargers and a specially designed tune that modifies both the engine and transmission parameters. Additionally, an exclusive exhaust system is installed, resulting in a staggering output of 790 horsepower and 700 pound-feet of torque. This marks a substantial improvement of 150 horsepower and 110 pound-feet over the stock Turbo S engine. According to Techart, this powerful setup enables the car to reach a top speed of 217 mph.
In order to handle the additional force, an upgrade to the sport suspension lowers the vehicle approximately 1 inch. Optional Techart coilovers are adjustable and paired with Techart center lock wheels that measure 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in the back. The width of the front track is also increased by one inch, and the option for carbon fiber aero disc brakes is available. In terms of the interior, there is a multitude of luxurious materials such as leather, Alcantara, carbon fiber, aluminum, and more.
What is the price of a 911 Turbo S with an 800-horsepower engine and a ducktail spoiler? Techart has provided information on the cost for European customers, beginning at 98,250 Euros. This equates to around $107,000, but please note that it only covers the conversion expenses. You will still need a base 911 Turbo S priced at $230,000, in addition to any selected Techart upgrades. However, with this cost comes exclusivity as Techart intends to produce only 25 units.
