Exclusive: Santa Monica Sightings of the Tesla Model 3 Performance

Check out the sleek and stylish new seats!

The prototype of the Tesla Model 3 Performance has been spotted utilizing a Supercharger station in Santa Monica, California for charging. The photographs that have been captured by a user on Reddit show a vehicle covered in a camouflage pattern at the front and rear. However, the windows do not have an excessive amount of tinting, which enables us to get a good view of the seat design leaked last year. From these images, it can also be seen that the front of the car will feature a lower splitter, although further information on this remains concealed. As with previous high-performance Teslas, we can anticipate a reduction in suspension height of approximately one inch, as well as eye-catching red brake calipers and uniquely designed wheels. In particular, this test model is equipped with 19-inch wheels that are based on an older design.

In contrast to the previously sighted vehicle, this one features a lefthand-side steering wheel in its cabin, suggesting it is designed for the US market. The standard Model 3 was initially unveiled overseas before its release in America, and we anticipate a similar timeline for the Performance version. Hopefully, this will allow Tesla to address any quality issues, such as the visible creases in the leather seats. However, those who have firsthand experience with the electric car company’s products are aware of the persistent lack of quality in the assembly and final touches.

There are numerous enhancements in all other aspects that will exceed the expectations of most purchasers.

It has been reported that the upcoming Model 3 Performance (possibly bearing the Ludicrous designation) will boast a boost in power, surpassing the current 430 horsepower provided by its dual motors. Furthermore, we anticipate seeing gradual enhancements to the acceleration time of 0-60 mph, currently clocked at 3.3 seconds, while the maximum speed of 162 mph is expected to remain unchanged.

According to sources, the anticipated release of the new model is underway as production began in December and the unveiling is expected to happen within this quarter. With half of the first quarter already passed, the wait for its debut should not be prolonged. We will provide updates as they become available.
