Pickup Truck Included – Don’t Miss Out!
Despite being the leading Stellantis brand in 2023, Fiat has lost its former prestige in Europe. However, the Italian company is determined to regain its former glory with a diverse range of new vehicles. In a recent reveal (not at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show), they introduced five concept cars that provide a sneak peek into their upcoming Panda lineup.
In a recent official video featuring Fiat CEO Olivier Francois, viewers are given a glimpse into the brand’s upcoming products and design language. The highly anticipated replacement for the aging Panda will be the first in line to debut. This long-awaited revamp was first teased in 2019 with the Centoventi concept and is now nearing fruition with the reveal of the new “City Car” concept.
The upcoming release of the “Mega Panda” has been highly anticipated. Fiat plans to reveal the production version in July, coinciding with their 125th anniversary celebration. This B-segment model is set to be larger than its predecessor and will be available worldwide with both traditional combustion engines and fully electric powertrains. Essentially, the next generation Panda will serve as Fiat’s answer to the Citroën C3. Additionally, the concept for this new model draws inspiration from the iconic Panda 4×4 from the 1980s. This suggests that the final production version will feature improved ground clearance, robust proportions, and a rugged appearance.
The “Giga Panda” as it is known, is a crossover vehicle that Fiat plans to compete with the recently released Dacia Duster, assuming it is approved for production. It also boasts similar design elements such as illuminated rectangles, square wheel arches, and a flat roofline. Although a street-ready version may not be as bold, it does demonstrate Fiat’s intention to take more risks with their upcoming models.
The Fastback, according to Fiat, is a modified version of the Giga Panda with a noticeably slanted roofline, giving it a coupe-like appearance. While this may add a touch of style (although opinions may vary), it sacrifices practicality by incorporating a sleek back end, resulting in a higher and more curvaceous design. Fiat suggests that this concept offers a glimpse into what may be in store for a future model intended for markets in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and potentially even Europe.
Out of all the options, we have to say that our top pick is the camper. It boasts a high ride on all-terrain tires and has a similar appearance to a lifted minivan, almost like Fiat’s interpretation of the Mitsubishi Delica. This impressive vehicle, known as the “ultimate do-it-all,” also pays homage to the beloved Panda 4×4 from the 1980s. We can only hope that it will eventually make its way into production.
Fiat trucks have gained widespread popularity in certain regions, particularly in Latin America. The well-known models include the Strada and Fullback, while a new addition, the Titano, is set to hit the market in 2024. It may not be a shock that the fifth and final upcoming model is a double cab pickup, as Fiat has confidence in its potential as a successful commercial vehicle even in Europe.
Following the upcoming official release of the new Panda in July, Fiat plans to unveil a brand-new model every year from 2025 to 2027. This fresh line-up will follow a highly favorable 2023, during which Stellantis, the parent company of Fiat, managed to sell an impressive 1.35 million cars.
