Fisker Teases Ocean’s Most Luxurious Edition Yet: The Extreme Monterey Model

Monterey Edition of Ocean Extreme Set to Launch in Second Half of Year

Fisker is set to unveil a fresh and exclusive version of the Ocean, known as the Extreme Monterey Edition. This addition is aimed at consumers seeking a higher level of extravagance in their purchase of the medium-sized electric crossover vehicle. The release of this deluxe trim option is scheduled for the latter half of 2021.

The newest addition to the Fisker Ocean lineup is the Ocean Extreme Monterey Edition, which will take its place as the top-tier option above the Extreme, Ultra, and Sport models, the latter of which began shipping just last month. This latest trim level will feature the Sun Soaked exterior metallic gloss paint choice, complemented by light-colored accents on both the wheels and interior. Fisker proudly boasts that the interior of the Ocean Extreme Monterey Edition is “the most opulent and lavish offering in the entire Ocean range.”

Aside from these characteristics, Fisker has not disclosed any specific details regarding the Ocean Extreme Monterey Edition. Furthermore, no visual aids have been provided, with the exception of the picture of the headrest below. The electric vehicle company, based in California, stated that more information will be announced in the upcoming months, including the cost and quantity of units being produced.

However, as the highest-ranking model in the lineup, the forthcoming trim is expected to offer the most luxurious amenities found in the Extreme trim. This includes the SolarSky roof, which can provide an additional 1,500 miles of range annually or approximately five miles daily. While this may seem insignificant, it could prove beneficial during rugged off-road excursions where charging options are limited. For comparison, the Ocean Extreme boasts an estimated EPA driving range of 360 miles.

The upcoming Fisker Ocean edition is set to hit the market for purchase during the latter half of 2024, perfectly coinciding with the debut of the highly-anticipated 2024 Tesla Model Y revamp, known internally as Project Juniper.

“After receiving numerous requests from our customers for a luxurious yet environmentally-friendly interior, we are proud to announce the release of the Fisker Ocean Extreme Monterey Edition,” stated Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO. “I am thrilled to share that our team of designers has also created a stunning new paint color called Sun Soaked. Its captivating coppery and mineral tones reflect the sun’s rays beautifully, making it a one-of-a-kind option on the market.”

At this moment, we will need to trust and believe what he says.
