Koni GTS Coilovers: For Track and Street

Range of 1-4 Inches Ride Height Lowering

Koni Automotive, known due to its renowned shocks used in such outstanding designs as the exclusive Ferrari 550 Maranello Wagon from Niels van Roji Design, visited the SEMA Show this year with a new product – the Koni GTS coilover suspension.

It may sound unfamiliar, but this isn’t the first coilover suspension from Koni. At an aftermarket show in Las Vegas, the brand showcased their product alongside a Toyota GR86 display car, which was added to the line-up of Toyota sports cars. Koni describes the coilover as a “full vehicle kit ready to install with four corrosion-resistant plated and powder coated threaded body dampers, springs, and top mounts.” This suspension is also externally rebound adjustable on most vehicles and can be rebuilt or re-valved.

KONI GTS Coilover Suspension

A coilover suspension is a great selection for builds that prioritize performance, as it boasts a customizable design. Structurally comparable to strut suspensions, the Koni GTS coilover offers greater adjustability than its counterparts, making it an ideal solution for vehicles used in the fast-paced arenas of track and autocross. In fact, Koni has a resume established on the hotly-contested racing world of Formula 1.

But in addition to trackdays, Koni declared their GTS coilover suspension system is serviceable even for regular commuters. It contains a totally adjustable suspension system that authorizes a variety of suspension set-up ideas. It has a lowering range of 1 to 4 inches for the ride height and can be regulated to fit the vehicle setup with an adaptive spring rate.

“We are thrilled to unveil KONI GTS coilover suspension at SEMA,” enthused Allen Briere, Koni America Automotive and RV sales manager. “KONI GTS is the perfect solution for those who want to upgrade and customize their vehicle for both daily driving and weekend racing.”

Koni is introducing 20 new applications for several car models including BMW, Volkswagen, Toyota, and Tesla electric vehicles (EVs). Moving forward, they expect to expand their product selection by 2024. The sales will be available as of February 2021–wholesalers and retailers can now make orders.
